@adamcornell1186 No, that is uncontrolled capitalism. The lack of regulation on capitalism has had the same effect as lack of regulation on anything. The creeping of capitalism into politics is what needs to be stopped. Many parts of society (healthcare, police, fire, other social programs) should not be profit motivated as they create perverse incentives; but in other parts capitalism spurs innovation (cars, consumer electronics, chemical and pharmaceuticals). One need only look to the USSR to see the consequences of taking the profit motive out of every aspect. They made their electric motors by the ton, so the factory would make the heaviest electric motors that they could so that they would have to make less.
