The entire premise of Christianity is that over 99% of people will be tortured for infinite time while the "good" watch on in glee. If you go about revoking tax status based on hate most religions wouldn't qualify.

Well, the bible says that if a man lies with another man in the way one does with a woman they shall surely be put to death. It doesn't specify manner, which is pretty merciful by bible standards where stoning to death by all your neighbors was a common punishment.

The bible says that people who commit homosexual acts will "surely be put to death" and doesn't specify method, so he isn't even wrong and the biblical method of execution would have been FAR more brutal and slow. Picture public stoning.

That commandment of course has the exception for when yhwh commands you to kill, which is often. It should really read, "Thou shalt not kill any adult male Israelite unless I tell you to."
