Fine, I'll say it now that's she's lost: Maybe try running someone who doesn't look so odd so that people's first impression isn't "WTF?" Nina has some good ideas but she never stood a chance with horn rimmed glasses and a blonde buzz cut. Get some contacts and a wig and actually try to win. It's be nice if looks don't matter but they do. A LOT. She lost to the normal looking candidate with no ideas. Think about that.

@bearofthunder This assumes that the general public watches debates or political news. Most don't and would never even find out about good candidates without political ads. Most people don't have the time or the interest to inform themselves and indeed don't vote and that's why we're here. Disconnecting people from politics is the goal of the establishment. A couple of good things about political ads is that they force people to watch them who would not otherwise choose to do so and they enable smaller candidates that represent the people to reach a wider audience than they'd be able as Bernie Sanders has shown to be so true. Taking away the last way to reach the politically disenfranchised would be a master final stroke by the establishment. Good idea. Hope they don't find out. An actual solution would be public funding of political ads so that candidates that reach certain thresholds all get equal public funding to make ads. Who would even have heard of Nina Turner without ads? By all means though, play into their hands.

Unfortunately, looks matter in politics and Nina isn't going to win looking like that, regardless of her ideas or the size of her balls. She needs a wig or longer hair (of any style) and should change the glasses to something more flattering or contacts. She looks like an SJW librarian at a liberal art college. You and I might be not care about looks, but many if not most people do. She already has the vote of thinking liberals but that's not what the electorate is composed of, which is why we have Joe Biden. She lost to the normal looking candidate with no ideas so she didn't lose based on ideas. Politics is a popularity contest. Sorry.

ROFL, she can't even get into Congress. Nina has some good ideas but a buzz cut blonde in horn rimmed glasses is about the least viable national candidate possible. We barely even got Joe "Milquetoast" Biden in past the Mid-Westerners and you want to run what essentially looks like an alien to them? Looks shouldn't matter but they do, A LOT. She needs hair and contacts to stand a chance at all. People are shallow. They don't care about policy position. They voted in the prettier lady. If you want to win you need to play the game.
