  5. You want to accelerate an aircraft to Mach 4 on a flight deck? The Ford class carriers have a 1092 foot flight deck. In order to hit Mach 4 or 3045 miles per hour over that distance the plane would need to accelerate at about 284 g's for nearly a half second. So, no manned aircraft since you would be a fluid sloshing violently in the back of said aircraft. This would need to be more of a missile.
