Yeah, 1 million babies will make a thriving colony. /s

That would be little to no change for people who already live there though. There are no woods to be free in there. You have to consider that they do not live in America.

@MetacoreGX That would still take hundreds of years to get to a million colonists and wouldn't serve any real purpose when adult colonists are going to be what is needed. This is the same as settling the Americas except there are no natives. You don't just send a few people; you send thousands of ships worth which is why he's building thousands of ships.

TL;DW It's not cold.

@u2beuser714 Just you and yours, huh?

Your explanation isn't really correct for why it's is colder at the poles. Even if the earth's atmosphere didn't exist it would still be colder. This is because the light is coming in at a steeper angle than at the equator and therefore covers more ground when it hits the earth, delivering less watts per square meter to the surface. This can bee seen by shining a flashlight close to a piece of paper at a 90 degree angle, making a circle. If you tilt the light or paper, the circle will turn into a large ellipse with the same amount of total light with the larger ellipse consequentially being dimmer. Hope that helps.

@Tjalve70 Yes.

You lost me when you showed the wrong rockets and cars and didn't know how to do math. Do more research before putting this drivel out.

Far better.

It's Mount "Pinatubo" not "Pinatabu" and the animation for the eruption of Yellowstone is incorrect. The entire magma chamber wouldn't just start flying; it would erupt all along the margins and the center would collapse inward as the chamber drained.

@MrTruehoustonian You're apparently not getting that that isn't a good point at all. Hilarious.

I wish Hello Fresh took food stamps.

Not a lot of birds way out in the desert. Not a lot of life at all.

No

You misspelled "Worst."

@boxheadGuy26 So you're saying that they would become Martians and would adapt to their planet? No shit. That's the plan.
1
@intello8953 You do know that science fiction has this amazing habit of becoming science fact, right? You're using the science fiction of the past to make your post for example.
1
@mukamasa You mean hasn't come true yet. Literally every piece of technology around you was science fiction until someone made it science fact.
1
@intello8953 The point your head I'm sorry you're too slow to understand, despite you daily using multiple science fiction devices which have the power to educate you on this. What separate science fiction from fantasies is that it could be made to be real and very very often are. Like the cell phone you're using and the internet you're using over satellites. Religion has nothing to do with science fiction as it is simply fantasy based. How is thinking of things like cell phones then working to make them real nuts? You're not making any sense at all. For example, of course we can't send robots to a planet and have them populate it with humans now or even soon, but thousands of years from now it will likely be a trivial task, like flying to another continent 1000 years ago was.
1
@intello8953 So you still do not get that the things I mentioned were science fiction in the past and that science fiction becomes science reality??? Are you really this stupid? Don't bother, your grammar error ridden posts and inability to understand common concepts has answered for you. Cell phones, personal computers, and literally every modern convenience you have around you were at one time science fiction. Electrical light and powered flight were literally science fiction. Your ignorance is appalling. Go to school ffs.
1
@P4Z44K Why would you even want an entire other planet lol. What would we even do with an entire planet??? What a small mind you have. No one like you ever discovered anything or climbed any mountain. Cower in your basement. What actual limitations would prevent humans from voyaging to another planet and how is it completely different from sailing to an unknown continent?
1
@anonb4632 The point of science fiction is to speculate on what is possible in the future so that we can work towards it. Because something hasn't been made science fact yet in no way shows that this doesn't happen or that it hasn't many thousands of times. Portable audio, spacecraft, portable personal communication, defibrillator, tasers, gps, and lab grown meat are just a few examples of ideas from sci-fi novels that people then worked on to make reality. Scifi is the plan for the future. S space ship that landed itself was scifi a few years ago too.
