  1. It is a double-helix spiral, it's just crumpled up in a ball. We already knew this as I was taught this in high school over a decade ago. Newsy has just misinterpreted this new modeling of it as it not being a double-helix. The double helix came from Watson and Crick, something else you should have learned in high school.   3. It is a vertical staircase shape, just as shown in this video at 0:05. The wadded up ball is just what it looks like when you zoom out. When she says that we actually knows what it looks like, she implies that it is not the staircase that was shown, which it is. It is exactly the shape we thought and exactly what textbooks say.
