Also, most of the planet has a different opinion on food than you do and have had it for hundreds of thousands of years since meat gave us the protein needed to create society. Getting people to ear lab grown meat will be much easier than the goos and pastes trying to taste as good. Also there's no cruelty or pollution so it just comes down to you not liking meat and trying to force it onto others, which hasn't, isn't, and won't work. We're looking for real solutions here.

@corneelvm.underwater You asked "why lab stuff when you're not addicted to the taste of meat ?" and I answered that you are a tiny minority and that most people would prefer to eat meat which is why lab grown meat would be a great solution to the many problems that industrial scale animal husbandry has caused.

@owenfrank5671 You could even grow your own meat at home, further reducing its carbon footprint. People already are doing it. You can 3d print in animal cells then let it grow into a steak or whatever using whatever kind of cells you'd like. If you want to be really creepy/super ethical, you could use your own. Then you'd only be consuming your own cells.

If you vegans get your way humans will simply wipe out all animal life since they won't be useful for food any more and you'd need more room for soy protein vats. How's that for cruelty?

Sothis That sounds horrible, like when I was too poor to afford meat for three months. I'd rather not live like a homeless person. Why you freaks feel the need to take these huge steps backwards in life is beyond me but at least there's very few of you jeopardizing the food supply for the rest of us. @corneelvm.underwater Yes, let's simply farm meat without sentience. We only need the flesh anyways; the animals with brains never need to exist. Once we perfect lab grown meat we can eliminate factory farms and all the animals we farm can rightfully achieve extinction. Once they no longer exist except as self-replicating unfeeling cells in vats then no more cruelty will come to them. Only then.

The point was being able to still eat meat but to reduce the huge amount of pollution that it's production causes which is destroying the planet around us.

You probably want to eat some vegetables, for fiber and stuff. Very few cultures only eat meat and then it was only because that was the only thing available. Humans are omnivores and should have a varied diet.

@radicalgreek99 Soluble fiber is an excellent thing to have in your diet to help with the cholesterol that meat brings. Have a potato with your steak.

We hang them by their feet, hit them with a bolt gun to make them unconscious, then cut their throats with their hearts still beating to remove the blood efficiently from the body. We are fully aware of and approve of this. We have been educated already and don't mind how the sausage is made one bit, thank you.
