Prosecutors sought the minimum time for each charge but he was tried for 42 counts and found guilty of 27 and they added up. The problem here is the law and the case is now being reconsidered which is only allowed after conviction. "As Colorado law required the imposition of the sentence in this case, the law also permits the Court to reconsider its sentence in an exceptional case involving unusual and extenuating circumstances," the motion says.
