  4. UltimaKeyMaster It's not insensitive, it's accurate. If they believe that beating a child with a switch tot he extent that it leaves mark is "not even child abuse," then they either will be terrible parents or are terrible parents, based upon the opinion they have displayed.

  6. iamlarryjones jr. Your non-sequitur about prisons is irrelevant. Whether prisons are bad or not has no relevance to whether beating your child with a switch is not a good thing to do. There is no evidence that beating your children will keep them out of prison, studies show the opposite, whether you reject them or accept them has no bearing upon reality. Hitting your children only teaches them that violence is the means to get what you want. Sure, they are the one being beaten now, but that only shows them that if they can reverse the situation, they will be in power.
