Kage ofHell You can't if they are the only provider in your area.

Their justification makes no sense anyway since everyone has adblock and no ads, personalized or not, are visable. Even before then, I had trained myself to never even look at banner ads.

TentaclePentacle I get that, I'm talking about their justification for collecting the data.
1
TentaclePentacle And yet they provided one. I was addressing it.
1
TentaclePentacle Yes they did, they said that they are collecting the info in order to create targeted ads. The additional fee is collected so that they don't sell the info to the third party companies which deliver the targeted ads. The additional fee is supposed to offset their loss of revenue from not selling your data, they still will collect the data though. Did you watch the video yet?

Low prices? Are you on crack? The US has the most expensive and slowest internet of any industrialized nation. You must work at AT&T to hold such absurdly moronic views that a company has the right to spy on you. Would you be fine with them listening to your calls to sell data for ad purposes, with an extra charge to not sell the info?

Ads don't make them any money, everyone has adblock and see no ads, targeted or not. This is a BS fee. We already have the slowest and most expensive internet in the industrialized world, them saying this is the cheapest they can do it is BS, they are a monopoly and don't have to change.

Fridgeworks What, you like looking at ads for some reason?
1
Fridgeworks You can't skip a banner ad.

Fridgeworks Great point, ad hominem is one of the best arguments, or no wait, it's a fallacy. Fuck off shill.
