  4. So the fact that Mercury is cooler than Venus is explained by sunspots coming at Earth? You do know that sunspots are cool spots on the surface of the sun caused by magnetic field lines, right? Sunspots are only found on the surface of the Sun, they don't leave it. Maybe you are thinking of coronal mass ejections, but that still has nothing to do with the temperature of the Earth, nor does it explain why Venus is hotter than Mercury. It seems you may not understand the fact that Venus is further than Mercury from the Sun, and yet it is still hotter than Mercury. If the Sun alone was the determining factor of temperature, then Mercury should be hotter than Venus, right? Yet, Venus is hotter. Can you explain why Venus is hotter if the Sun is the main factor?
