***** His state is a solid conservative state. Voting for anyone is useless, you might as well vote for who you really want. I live in California and I don't even bother voting for the democrats. They're gonna win if I vote or not by huge margins. I just had this same discussion with him.

Jagos Until money is gotten out of politics, voting for a third party or someone who has effectively no funding is a wasted vote. I don't like Hillary either, but if we don't vote for her, someone much worse may win, like Ted Cruz. Don't waste your vote, we must bide our time until we can get money out of politics and actually get to vote for someone who represents us. If a Republican wins, we may never get a chance to get money out of politics.

Jagos It'll be hard to influence government if your candidates never win and Republicans do. You are only helping the worse of two evils by voting for a third party before voting is fixed, but by all means, vote the way you wish. It is your right, for now. Just hope that Republicans don't take that away when they control all three branches. Remember that this presidential cycle is particularly important since the next prez will likely be able to name 1-3 justices, locking in the prez's values for decades to come.

Jagos Well if there's no chance of the Dems winning where you live I see your point. Try to vote for state and local legislature then, they are the ones responsible for calling for a Constituional Amendment using a natinal convention. Congress sure as shit won't be doing it.

Peter C. Equality Frank This was a long time ago when Bernie wasn't as on the scene yet. I'm going to vote for him in the primary, but either way, California will go to the democrats in the general. No one here is voting Trump/Palin 2016 lol.

therrydicule They are closer to Martin Luther's (not King or Jr.) policies. Evangelicals are pro-war, anti-poor, anti-healthcare, and anti-education, just like Jesus.
