  1. Tera Tokomi The President doesn't make the laws. He doesn't have the power, he cannot. If by "we" yopu mean citizens, then you are still off the mark. There are two other branches of the government besides the executive, can you guess which actually can make laws? Did you not learn about how our government works in high school? Spoiler: It's Congress, and the multinationals own them. No such law could ever be passed.

  2. Tera Tokomi Congress does not listen to what the people want, they make laws only for the rich as the rich are the people who put them in Congress. Have you forgotten that we live in a effective oligarchy and that there is no correlation between the will of the general population and legislature since 1980, but there has been a perfect correlation with what the rich donors want? "We"- the people no longer make the laws. It's "We"- the paid shills.

  4. NUTCASE71733 You actually can do such a tax on imported goods from targeted countries, it's called a tariff, but it cannot be put in place because of NAFTA. The US had trade tariffs that protected US manufacturing for many decades.
