SJW101, the political gamer I already included the definition of a weapon (a thing designed or used for inflicting bodily harm or physical damage). Here is the definition for "weaponize" weap·on·ize verb 1. convert to use as a weapon. 2. supply or equip with weapons. Neither definition works for cigarettes unless the tobacco companies secretly actually want their customers to die, which would be contradictory to their addiction goals and isn't being carried out very effectively. Likely they would use non-cancerous addiction agents if they could as their customers would then live longer and make them even more money. So, you're only right if tobacco companies do not actually care about profit over all, as I posit, and they actually are just incompetent mass murderers who don't care which particular people they kill. This seems unlikely, but I am entirely open to evidence to the contrary.

+Steve Donoghue Weaponizing is a bit dramatic. They aren't using it as a weapon, they just want people to be addicted to their product so they make lots of money. Weapons are a thing designed or used for inflicting bodily harm or physical damage. This isn't the goal of the chemicals added to cigarettes, their goal is addiction and profit. They're fucked up piecdes of shit, but you're using the wrong word.

SJW101, the political gamer I'm not defending tobacco companies, just the correct usage of words. Who is Sam Harris? I don't know anyone named Sam.

***** Correct me if I'm wrong, but they aren't currently required to list ingredients though, just like "supplements" and wine and beer and many other products that we consume and are sold nonetheless.
