  2. Russia was on the side of Germany until 1941. The only reason you even fought on the side of the allies is the Germans thought of you as less than human and betrayed you. Russia never chose to do the right thing but was forced to so never pretend to have any moral high ground.

  4. Because they will kill you if you don't and it's very hard to get close enough to a Ukrainian human being to surrender to without being killed by a drone or your own forces which have special units to unalive deserters.

  5. They are draftees/prisoners with blocking troops behind them who unalive deserters. Very well known at this point. This is how Russia operates their military.
