There isn't one Europe. Some of the countries have the will, some don't. My own country is somewhere in between.

We have our own factories and are building more. Plus, turns out DRONES are the most important weapon. And it isn't that hard to make those.

Agreed. I'm European and I think it's best off developing its international relations but also being as independent as possible. It can choose to do whatever it wants, and of course I'd prefer if they supported Ukraine. But my impression is that the South Pacific has distinct cultures, Australia is a separate continent and New Zealand is a very specific place. It might not be wise to tie themselves to a different region. Experience shows that tying yourself too much to a different country in time leads to tension and cracks, and sometimes even conflicts. It's better to keep it a bit loose.

More-or-less agreed, but what on earth is "Europe First" rights framework? Basic human rights are basic human rights. I'm all for strong borders, but not at the expense of basic human rights. There's a difference between tough and harsh vs. cruel. Also, I have no problem with some portion of EU capital being invested in places like Canada, Australia or democratic African countries. We can't become a closed loop. For one thing, we don't have all the mineral resources we need. And I'm not comfortable with just forgetting Africa. Some Africans are OK with that, but some prefer European goods because some of the Chinese ones break after three days.

@acetorres8787 Everything can change. I don't see ordinary European citizens contacting their MEPs and demanding shortening of bureaucratic processes. If we all did, things might change.

I know a Liberal guy, a long-haired expert in mythology and linguistics, who cut his hair short and went through army training after February 2022. Doesn't happen all that often, but it happens. In the long run, it depends on your innermost values, not on your political leanings.
