  1. Tom Cooper on Substack has a detailed chronology of events suggesting that the Russian army just wanted to destroy part of the dam, but the explosions got out of control. Now Russian-occupied Crimea will have difficult access to drinking water, and Russians complicated their own potential future offensive as well as that of Ukrainians. Well, what goes around, comes around.
