A big driver with Joker is that he reminds us that a guy will automatically lose half of everything he's worked - not including a house; somehow she'll get it especially if there are children if the marriage fails for almost any reason.   22.  @fusionrain1791  I do agree and especially when their are children, because most of the time the child or children will live with their mom. So then the judge makes sure she has enough money and that means we will pay big time!!! Been there done that. Lesson learned for me is don't get married again unless we are engaged more than 3 years first, any signs of a problem and I can walk away. And now I'm in my 50's so almost no chance of it again.

  33. We used to say couples get married to have kids. Yeah that's a good reason to get married. So perhaps if you're at an old age home at least your kids could come and visit you. If you have no kids then who would visit. Perhaps brother or sister.
