  64.  @melanimatejak6821  Yes, my first MOS in 1998 I was a 63T. It's a Bradley Fighting Vehicle Mechanic. So I was assigned to a unit in Colorado, and it is a Armored Cavalry Unit. That consists of soldiers on the field that are Cav Scouts, Tankers, Dismount Cav scouts, Forward Observers, Cavalry Sergeants, Calvary Officers. In those MOS's they are designed to be on the field. When they trained on some missions I went to the field too for about 3 weeks. I stayed in an area where mechanics hang, they rolled out of the camp with all the equipment to go exercise - battles. We were all combat-arms soldiers though, myself included. There were 5 units like our Troop. I saw only one woman out of hundreds of soldiers. I have no problem with that. The infantry has entire Divisions of soldiers. Our Cavalry unit was a Squadron sized element, maybe a few thousand soldiers. And the cooks, also soldiers I didn't mention earlier, and medics too. All in combat arms, not necessarrily combat soldiers but they were in combat arms units. Many of them - won't be in the field they stay in what's known as the rear. This is the Army I'm talking about. I realized that the Marines use a different system, but there is still Marines in the rear, administration soldiers, higher ranking Officers. The Marines are more geared to be in the fight in my opinion, are far more organized and respectful of someone's rank, even one rank higher. And I believe they take what they do more seriously, based on what I observed I was out of the military and delivered food to a Marines barracks many times. Anyway, back to the Army, there are many MOS's there still like 200 or even more than that, 200+ MOS's to choose from. Something like Cyber Security is not a combat arms MOS, or IT Soldier is also not a combat arms MOS, but they can get deployed too.
