He did the right thing, nowadys people quit jobs but I remember always having to push through until it would improve, can't quit unless I got hired somewhere else first. Then at the age of 33 I gave in and joined the US Army in 1998. I served for 12 years aka active duty. Then another 8 in the Reserves. It wasn't always easy but there is a pension for that and also VA Comp pay / disability. Mostly retired at 54, so now if I don't like a job I can quit!!

  92. EV's are still niche, mostly for people that have singel family homes. See then they can be charged at home. And It doesn't work very good to rent EV's because the shops aren't set up to work on them. Hertz does their own maintenance on the fleet from what I heard. Tesla's well they don't really work on them. And secondly people don't have a plan to charge them. That's why Hertz is selling them though, I might get one there because they could give a good deal.

The other thing is to never be late on a payment because that's where the heavy charges are. Also the second reason to have one is in case of emergencies.

I was a subcontractor and did Emergency Roadside Service from my car - it was my own small business but only employed me, until the pandemic destroyed it. I don't want to work that hard again because I'm in my late 50's; so I didn't apply for business money / pandemic bail out. I just collected unemployment for a while in 2021 then decided to deliver food. I'm fine because I retired from the Army reserves in 2018, and receive compensation for 20 years of service. Just for your information Norway is 80% EV, the number one EV on the road there is Tesla. China is booming with EV's there are many kinds of cheaper EV's there too. I watch a lot of YouTube regarding EV's and I have an investment in Tesla. And on YouTube I hear about VW's ID4 and that's about it and that's because the price is competitive.

It keeps up with traffic fine, goes up to 80 no problem. It 'll go beyond that but I really don't speed. And the gas mileage is always over 30. It only has 171,000 miles on it.

And my father helped me after my divorce at the time. It was calculated that becuase I have a daughter it's important to pay child support, and I just had to much debt and not yet a good enough job. Bankrruptcy was an option so I took it. For me everything was okay later and I rebuilt my credit slowly and things got better. In your story you managed to pay off your debts; and wanted to invest in land and then build on it. That's called perserverance and usually a person works hard too. That's why you're good now, and yes the management (financial) is very important.

It's genius they are saving money right there and no oil changes too. And I've read that they are reliable and safe. The only downside is if you drive a road trip just use your gas vehicle just because it's more convenient. I guess these are people that are at least upper middle class.

  494.  @sawtoothbygeorge  The cheapest are the Chevy Bolt EUV, and I think the Tesla Model 3's have dropped price some. I think they can get the $7500 tax rebate too. The Nissan Leaf if the range has improved, and the Hyundai EV Ionique 6 could be competitive.

If I was looking for an EV I'd see if I could get one from Hertz. It didn't work out for them so they're selling most all the Teslas they have. I'd try to get a deal on a used one.

  497.  @stevengonzalez7729  The whole auto and truck market isn't selling much better though. People need more incentives and lower prices especially on new vehicles. EV is really a niche market it's more for people that have houses (single family) because they can charge the vehicles themselves.
