Scotty Kilmer didn't completely trash the newer Rogues yet, but He still doesn't like them!

This is relatively low mileage, I mean your Elantra. Under 20K a year that helps. I've had a 1994 Hyundai Excel, and at least 2 Tucsons and we didn't have any big problems with them. My ex-wife is still driving her 2016 Tucson. Really low miles on it like 61K.

@PurpleMusicProductions I think you meant UNLIKE it's predecessors!

@PurpleMusicProductions 😆My neighbor has and old one here, I think it's around 1980, like someone above said theirs is rusted, well the hood is on my friend's but should be refinished. It looks rugged as hell I never saw him drive it but it's parked in the street under a tree. It would be a testosterone booster on the road though.

The ones without problems are at least as good as Honda and possibly Toyota. I owned about 3 Hyundai's over the decades, usually the Tucson. Now I drive a 2019 Nissan Rouge, it's decent too and the engine has good power. The 2..5 liter 4.

@cynthiamoore8022 I think you're right, good maintenance and most of the Nissans will go more than 160K without issues!! I love my Rogue, a couple years in now and I bought is certified - used. The 2.5 liter 4 cylinder moves it along excellently, good power. At 81K miles with 4 years left on the loan though. So I'll drive it no more than 20K a year.

@matrox Be careful you have a lot of ponies there.

@louyht7 Scotty Kilmer, the big Youtuber ex-mechanic would say have a mechanic check it over before you buy. And these should go to 300K without issues. With a fair or good price go for it.

@Abbysum1 Most Explorers are good. After the rollover problem with early models was fixed!! I had one for a little while and a friend wanted to buy it from me all the time!! So I did sell it to him, it was a 2005 with a 4 liter V6, and I sold it to him in 2022. It runs good still but I noticed was hit on the side recently!! I think he drove it too fast, and somebody couldn't slow down enough goiing across an intersection. I noticed this kind of thing with this guy, about every 6 months he's in some minor accident. The Ford was still drivable I think it wasn't hit all that hard but I wonder what the other vehicle was etc...

What would number 11 be? Probably a Fiat 500 or another Chrysler.

@louyht7 Lexus costs a lot more but probably worth it. It's about the budget though.

I like BMW's. Except for Bring My Wallet thing.

I bought a certified 2019 Nissan Rogue about 2 years ago and it had 50,000 miles on it then. It was overpriced at $22,000 and then tax and tags but I wanted to trade in my Rogue Sport. THe Sport was about the same year and mileage but I was mad because the power window on the passenger side was fried. I wanted the bigger Rogue anyway so I did the deal. Now the 2019 Rogue has 81K miles on it - no problems, I got front brakes, changed the brake fluid, and the CVT fluid / oil. It has the 2.5 liter 4 and the power is good, 175 horsepower.
