I don't understand with all the money that flows through New Orleans, literally billions a year from tourism alone, that the victims of criminals then need to foot the bill for prison renovations and tablets. Last I checked 9.45 % is higher than 5. So if the city receives around $279,733,000 for their cut every year why the grift?

@thecharlieinnola When we add a 4.45% state sales tax to a 5% Orleans Parish sales tax magically a number appears 😂 I can't understand how you are failing at getting the most basic of tax percentages right. That's what you call a teachable moment 😂

@thecharlieinnola I don't kwow man, you can't use the internet properly. State tax plus parish tax is our Sales tax, 9.45%

@thecharlieinnola I said "why the grift" as in they will misuse the funds no matter where they come from and we all know it, so why pretend this will help anyone other than the criminals?
