Nah man, it's a valid opinion. You know what war/occupation is like, so why do you partake in it? I wouldn't want to see my friends die, I wouldn't want to kill others, I wouldn't want to die myself so I wont join the army. If you are not ready for these 3 things, don't join the army. Maybe think about the message a little, before you make judgemental comments like "this must be some edgy kid".

Would it change anything? If that kid was the biggest pussy ever, would that in any way invalidate that statement? If you don't want to die, if you don't want to see your friends dying, if you don't want to kill others. Don't join the army. I wouldn't join the army, you shouldn't either. And we shouldn't glorify people who do.

@aidiwkdsoxks8009 The premise of "if you can't handle death don't do it" is that not everyone can do it. So why do you ask "if you think any human can" if the premise of my comment contradicts that from the start? I think different humans have different predispositions which makes them suited for different lines of work.

@aidiwkdsoxks8009 It's not about shaming someone who comes back. In fact I want them to come back. You see being unfit for something as some personal failure but I believe that recognizing your strenghts and weakneses is a good thing. Even more so if you recognize it before enlisting. Maybe it would be better if the 20% of the people who got PTSD from combat weren't put in this situation in the first place?

Maybe if violence is so bad... Don't join the army? Just like this "13 y.o. kid from frotnite" says?

@aidiwkdsoxks8009 People can do whatever they like... unless they don't. If you don't have certain character you won't be able to get certain jobs even if you'd like to. Not everyone can be a surgeon and not everyone can be a salesperson. I think history paints a different picture on human nature than you do.

@aidiwkdsoxks8009 I think prevention is better than treatment. I think many soldiers don't know what they are getting into. Having a proper psych evaluation before even letting them in would be better than having to spend 100 of hours curing a mental condition that in most cases cannot be cured.
