  1. I don't want to defend musk here but working remotely is less productive. If there are no issues assigned to me I will watch this youtube video. In office I would go to my boss and tell him that I need more work. If the work is well organised (with frequent meetings, clear company vision agile etc.) that can be avoided. The problem with twitter will be that the work required will be ambiguous. People will be required to work but it will not be clear what should be done. Like what is the project that is so dire right now? Can that project even be estimated?This situation occurs in many IT companies. However the companies I worked in can allow themselves this situations because they occupy unique B2B niches and lower productivity just translates into higher product pricing. Twitter cannot do that. If advertisment costs go up that's the end.
