  1. Hair grows everywhere, hormonal prevalence triggers different growth in these hair follicles. It has very little to do with the cell identity. It would be very weird for most of the old people to "suffer" from the same hair growth patterns if these were random cells forgeting their role. The research is certainly the right direction to go in, but you cannot just apply everything to that one hypothesis. For one, you might still die of cancer when you're biologically 20, because time => bigger probability of it's occurence. You might still have testosterone level of a 60 y.o. etc. To ensure that we don't age is to tackle all these problems.
