I find it funny how the judge awknowledges that american judiciary system is about retribution for the society AND then proceeds to give her half the sentence she could get even though I can't imagine a more cold bloded execution of this. I disagree with this notion, but please at least stay consistent...

 @emd4390 Misogyny implies there was discriminatory - negative treatment here. That's not the case. She literally got half the sentence she should've.

It's like being offended at your parents for giving you money, even though you're adult. You might be salty, but deep down you are glad you have parents that care. Just a personal opinion, but only an a crazy person would prefer to be forced to go to war or be imprisoned for 10 extra years in exchange for not being perceived as inferior.
