Your logic goes as follows "you cannot halucinate a dog on a boat, because you never saw a dog on a boat". The flaw is the assumption that halucination excludes synthetic knowledge (knowledge created by piecing together other already known concepts). Apostles did have the concept of resurrection and they did have the concept of the person Jesus. Yes, it's unlikely for many people to hallucinate the same thing out of the blue, but it's not so unlikely to bend your or someone elses experience. Another flawed idea was that if Jesus wouldn't die on the cross, he would've been unable to leave the tomb sneak past the guards and travel alone. What you're doing here is disproving an event by saying that another unrelated event would be implausible. It's very plausible that Jesus didn't die on the cross. Most people needed quadruple as much time to die from crucifixion compared to Jesus. It doesn't matter how he left the tomb - by friends, deserting, on his own or w/e.

@canichawa2242 usually = in 99.99% cases. First of all, medicine is controlled, it cannot directly harm you unless you do something illegal or unrecommended by the doctors. Whether the attitude resulted in harm should depend on 2 factors: 1. The Patient will not get better (so most diseases are out of the question). 2. Would otherwise survive a way longer time (so most cases of lethal cancer are out of the question).
2
There are many cases of people dying without being sure (not early Christians).

Not sure if food is such a great problem, we can already produce a lot with artificial light. We seem to overestimate our needs in crops, sine current civilisation is quite wasteful..

They probably overestimated themselves, got cold and died. Took off clothes because just before you die from cold, blood flows out to the skin along with the damaged hypothalamus, gives you a hot sensation.

Well, it is impossible for a virus that targets an insect nervous system to target a brain. Also, human associations are not defined chemically, so they can't change from a virus, sure you can get more aggressive associations, but you'd still think. So no zombie apocalypse happening.

"why at least 2 devout religious men would go to the lengths of creating such a tall tale" Now which one is more probable, priests with confirmation bias trying to make up stories to popularize their religion or some extremely powerful celestial beeing go to the lengths of making some random dude, puke and make a tantrum?

@meganeagleton521 Yes that's what you said earlier, and my response was, that the later Christians did die for their beliefs even though they couldn't be sure. That's why your assertion that early Christians would ONLY die for the cause if they were sure is false. History proves that people don't have to be "sure" to die for their beliefs.
1
@meganeagleton521 And my argument is that they would.
1
@meganeagleton521 Could be anything. The point is not that I have the awnsers, the point is that your argumentation is flawed.
1
@meganeagleton521 It's flawed because you assume that people need to be certain to sacrifice themselves. Meanwhile throughout the history up to this date people were fighting and dying for gods they never saw. You think the person who flew into WTC ever saw Allah or Mohamed? Do you think crusaders ever saw Jesus? Do you think Vikings ever saw Thor? Do you think Aztecs ever saw Huitzilopochtli before agreeing to be sacrificed on the altar? Belief is enough to die, you don't need to be certain.

There isn't any credible source stating that confidence deters a predator from attacking, or that dogs just let go if you curl into a ball.
