@grum3660 Does it really matter what type of government they call themselves? The USSR called themselves the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. It was still a repressive regime. The name means next to nothing. It is the actions of the government and the amount of injustice or freedom that counts. Repressive regimes always have fancy impressive names. @grum3660 China does not have a large middle class relatively speaking. Much like the USSR, the well connected politically speaking can get very wealthy. The per capita income is still very low. Arguing about what kind of system they have, in theory, is like arguing if a green barn isn't red, is it still a barn? It doesn't make any difference. China has forced abortions, forced sterilization, takes children from families, has an internal system of prisons for political prisoners by the hundreds of thousands not unlike the Russian gulags, they have slave labor picking cotton in Southern China! people who speak out get snatched from their homes or off the streets and are never seen again, they have a social credit score system that is distopian in nature. China has broken it's agreement with Hong Kong and is talking about taking Taiwan by force that has been independant for 70 years. China is stealing military technology and intellectual property to an estimated 1 BILLION dollars a year. Their fishing boats are scouring waters around other countries doing irreparable damage to the ecosystems there that it comparable to strip mining and the damage takes decades to recover. They are the worst polluter on the planet. They have sold dog food in the US that caused liver failure to hundreds of dogs. They even sold purposely tainted formula to the US causing babies to die. So you can make all the pointless arguments you like about political theory but in the end the CCP is a massive human rights and ecological nightmare to the world. Hope that clarifies things a bit

@Investigative Audit I guess you don't understand that China has broken damn near every agreement it has ever signed. You also seem to have never heard or have forgotten that China agreed to give Hong Kong limited autonomy for 50 years. Since your education seems to be lacking let me state that that 50 year agreement was signed in 1999 when it transitioned from a British territory to a Chinese territory. I am guessing you are also unaware of the brutality of the CCP regime including but limited to organ harvesting from people the CCP disagrees with, forced abortions, forced sterilization, the taking of children of people who do manage to have an extra child not sanctioned by the government,, ainternal concentration camps that routinely starve and torture the detainees, forced relocation of minorities to ethnically cleanse areas, slave labor, child labor etc. So now you sit behind your keyboard and submit to the public that Taiwan should succumb to the same fate as all the other people who run afoul of the good graces of the CCP? Really? Who do you think you are fooling with that tripe? There are fates worse than death. One such fate is living under the CCP rule. There is a reason people throw themselves off factory roofs in China. Here's a hint. It isn't because they didn't get dessert last Sunday. No one with an ounce of morality would wish anyone, even an enemy, to live under CCP rule. I guess we now know how moral a person you are.
