Jack Black looks pathetic

@Justin-pe9cl Democracy had been described as two wolves and a sheep deciding what is for dinner. The point is that the majority can possibly vote for something immoral.

@calstonjew I say looks because I am commenting on how he has let himself go. Is he trying to look like John Candy or Chris Farley?

@wm1958 You have a good point there. 🍻

@June-ns5fo The current polls show Trump by 3 to 6 points, which is very high for any Republican at this time.

@FriedrichBarb Some people want to cancel people over dumb or critically stupid stuff with no evidence. I would point to Bret Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas and Johnny Depp among others who have been falsely accused and have their reputations damaged without a chance to defend themselves. Many conservatives in Hollywood get blacklisted like James Woods, Tim Allen, Gina Corano. Centrist comedians won't go to NY or LA comedy clubs and won't go to college campuses. When you have video evidence of someone being an arsewip3 then it is up to people to decide if collective action needs to be taken. In this case saying, Next time don't miss, is beyond any form of human decency

@weekendmom We need to make sure we get out and vote. Some people think Covid was the reason many people stayed home in 2022 but I am not sure what happened

@drshoe8744 Tinnitus D meaning their are tone deaf to what being a moral person is like?

@mr.dr.frankenkeys I generally don't care what political opinions artists have. When someone like the Dixie Chicks or Jack Black go off the rails then I get upset

@dna3930 Crazy good question 🤔 😉

@utley Yes in off year elections the turnout is often low but people were still predicting a red wave because Biden is a pompous ars3. Many people thought there would be a backlash for Bidens terrible first 2 years in office. Some people do think Covid played a role in Republicans not being enthusiastic to vote

@lollsforlunch Actually AH never got more than 37% of the popular vote and then he got some politicians to make him Chancelor, kinda like a Prime Minister, and then he seized power. The brown shirts and SS were actually made illegal before he was Chancelor

@inkblooded1058 me too

@siriusxfm4328 The idea behind the electoral college is that if there seems to be massive fraud, they electors can vote their conscience and vote for the person who they think would have won if the election was fair. It almost never happens but it is there to be the last line of defense

@user-ws1bx5xb8s You are not the arbiter of what points are moot. If I decline to provide a definition of immoral that doesn't make anything I said false or invalid. You can or should ask for clarification politely if you think I am in error or missed something. You did sort of provide the basic definition of what is moral. Morality is the standard of decency and fairness a person believes to be most correct. When a group of people adopt a generally consistent set of morals it can be called an ethos. That would basically be a societal standard or morality. I won't use the term ethos because most most people use the terms interchangeably. Hope that cleared things up

@Steir12 You stated that Trump has simple yet unrealistic ideas. What are these unrealistic ideas? Trump's major accomplishments were to develop more domestic energy, cut regulations that hamper US industry, cut taxes to spur the economy, not start any new wars, make the NATO alliance countries pay the dues to NATO as they agreed upon and to keep illegal immigrants from coning into the country. These are all popular with most Americans but don't seem to be unrealistic at all. Am I missing something?

@inkblooded1058 I don't know what they are so afraid of opinions that comments have to go away. It makes no sense. 🍻

@caddyguy5369 The point in the analogy of two wolves and a sheep is that the sheep can vote but since the majority rules, the sheep is at the mercy of the wolves. Yes the sheep gets a vote but it won't protect the sheep's rights.

@xblahxnikkix Democracies and dictatorships are nearly opposites. In a true democracy the people make all the rules. In a dictatorship, there is one person making all the rules usually with the force of the police/military
