@brucecampbell6578 Most empires did a few things right. That is how they became regional powers. The Romans greatly advanced law and architecture as an example

@lgmbits If you don't believe the Bible is true then believe whatever you want. If you claim to believe the Bible is true then it is necessary to believe God did call the Jews His chosen people and later spread the gospel to all the other nations through the jews. Remember Jesus and all the apostles were Jewish with the possible exception of Matthew.

@brucecampbell6578 I try to be realistic when it comes history. All the empires of history did great things and terrible things. I don't think anyone would argue that point. I do think some empires and cultures are better worse than others. I don't think anyone would argue that point as well. For the current discussion I think Israel has overall been a pretty good country. Some might disagree and I'm actually ok with that. What I have a hard time with is how the left in particular does not care about the truth and wants to either rewrite history or if they can't get away with that use some lens to create a narrative that bears little semblance to the truth. As an example I would point to Karl Marx and his insistence that we use tribalism/class warfare to decide who is more righteous. In some cases people want a caste system. Critical theory and it's little brother critical race theory is another way of creating an us vs them dichotomy. My point is that we need to try and be objective and honest. It's a lofty goal and not always achievable but it should be the standard we try to reach

@vincentlattuca3763 Islam exterminated the Christians in North Africa. There was nothing reluctant about Mohammeds drive to create an empire.

@miklosfabian4722 Bill Clinton also had a viable 2 state solution that gave the West Bank to the PLO. Yasser Arafat rejected it it. Bill Clinton said he was an idiot. Not a Clnton fan by the way

@shainazion4073 That is a great point. To the best of my knowledge, no Palestinians can trace their genetics back to the Philistines or Canaanites.

@irisg447 Trump was a great president. No new wars were started under Trump, he got us energy independant, made progress with North Korea, got the Abrahamic Accords started, cut regulations to make the country more profitable, increased funding for black colleges (which Biden cut) just for starters

@shainazion4073 I read that Israel asked us more than once if we had any ships in the area and the US said no. The USS Liberty was a tragedy of friendly fire. This happens in every war and is heartbreaking when it happens. I don't blame the US or Israel for that incident.

@drewstudlino5885 My sentiments exactly. Israel has been restored to the land by God and will be there until end of time. God has plans for the Jews in the end times. For this reason I support Israel. I do think the terrorism of Hamas had to be answered with brutality. That is all they understand. If Israel has a soft response they will certainly get more attacks. Hamas wanted this war so it is just another version of FAFO. They still have people captive that they took out of Israel!! This is outrageous. I don't wish ill towards anyone but I have a hard time feeling any sympathy for the terrorists calling themselves Palestinians

@lesleyriseam1282 OK. If you were Prime Minister of Isrsel how would you respond to a surprise attack of thousands of missiles and rockets and killing between 1000-1500 people and between 100 and 200 people kidnapped out of the country. Many of the women taken or killed were first assaulted and one of the dead was then driven around in the back of a pickup truck naked and spit upon like a trophy. The good news is that they did recover her head for burial. She was a German Jew who was a pacifist. What is an appropriate response for that kind of attack?

@user-tg5jn2lv2l Actually nowhere in the Bible does it say Lucifer was a chosen one of God. Yes he was the greatest of the angels but he was never chosen to bring the knowledge of God to the earth. The word angel does mean messenger but angels are really servants of God. God likens people who chose to love Him as more than servants. In the New Testament the Christian church is compared to a bride. Nowhere are angels considered as such although I am sure God loves His angels also

@sajmohammed5089 Our sins can't be forgiven by God just because He wants to. Someone had to pay for the sins of the world. It had to be someone innocent. The Bible makes it very clear that no one but Jesus could make the claim to be completely innocent. Even Jesus death doesn't automatically get us forgiveness. The Bible says that we have to love God more than anything else in this world. This great love for God will cause us to want to be better and not wish to lead a selfish and sinful life. Yes it is possible for some people who committed evil acts to enter heaven but usually when someone completely loses their conscience they can't gain it back.
