  4.  @DavidTurner-rk1fu  Democracy and Capitalism has shown so much more failure than Socialism. No Socialist country has ever had it as easy as any Capitalist country. If a country is Socialist, it must have been in a mess beforehand in order to trigger a Socialist revolution in the first place. And then they have to go through a bloody civil war, and then they have to put up with the countless embargoes and blockades, and the foreign meddling and propaganda, and the foreign arming of rebels, sometimes literal invasions, and then they get demonized by the rest of the world and now have no allies. And all this occurs before the first Socialist reform is passed. And then on top of all that, most of the countries that became Socialist were dealt a really shitty card. East Germany had no farms, the East of Germany was all factories and mines and the West got all the farms and agriculture, meaning there is going to be food shortages regardless of what political or economic system they are practicing. North Korea got the same, they got show and mountains, there is very little farmland at all in North Korea so obviously there is going to be a lack of food. And then in Russia and China, they both had colossal populations to take care of and were both prone to famines, and Russia are prone to terrible winters. All of this has nothing to do with Socialism. And yet the Chinese got free healthcare to half a billion people, the Cubans eliminated tax, the Russians invented space travel and the nuclear power station, the North Koreans have 0% homelessness, Yugoslavia held together one of the most volatile regions in the world that exploded into war and genocide the second they stopped being Socialist, Nicaragua eliminated polio, reduced their infant mortality rates, and their illiteracy rates dropped from 50% down to 12%, and the Cubans, Vietnamese, and the Koreans all repelled US invasions. The most successful Capitalist country of all time, has literal sewage in the streets of Alabama, a hookworm infestation (like the ones occurring in 3rd world countries like India, South Africa, and Brazil), people dying because they can't afford insulin, there are more mass shooting than in some countries in war zones, they have natural disasters that displace thousands and the government does nothing to help, they have a man in charge who would suspend their government until he gets what he wants, they lock children up in cages, they have by far the largest prison population to have ever existed, they spend 100x more on war than they do on their own people and yet still can't fight for shit, they have killed more civilians in other countries than terrorists have in all of the West, do I need to continue? Capitalism only works for the rich.

  5.  @DavidTurner-rk1fu  Capitalism isn't better, at all. Communism is no ruling party. I've argued this point so many times. "The human nature" argument just isn't a good enough argument. Just because it isn't in your human nature doesn't mean it's in mine. Americans alone give $410 billion to charity each year, that's enough to run several countries on. And have you considered all of these aid workers and volunteers? The Red Cross, the White Helmets, Doctors without borders, Save the Children, Amnesty international, volunteers in foreign wars. People are more than capable of getting on and giving without getting anything in return, now imagine what they would give if they got something back from it. Some humans are selfish and easily corruptible, but most aren't. Look at Japan, were some businessmen actually kill themselves when they let down their companies. Honour and respect are core parts of human nature as well, integrity means more than self preservation to some. Just look at Che Guevara, he was a doctor who was making loads of money, but during a motorcycle trip across South America he saw nothing but oppression and suffering, so he decided to leave home, go to a completely different country and fight in their war to oust a dictator. And when he was done he got a job in the Cuban government, where he crewed up his duties and resigned. He then went to a completely different country and tried to fight their war for them as well, where he was captured and executed. He had two chances to be a very wealthy and safe man, but chose to throw it away twice, for the benefit of others. The US enslave a lot more people than the Chinese do, enslavement by it's very nature is anti-Socialist. The Chinese are destroying the ozone layer on behalf of others, it's capitalists in the West who contract China to make all of their shit, that's why China pollutes so much, they are also one of the leaders in reducing pollution. They over fish the because they have almost 1.4 billion people to feed, you blame Socialism when they starve and you blame Socialism when they feed their people, there is no winning for China in the eyes of the West. And democracy does not guarantee freedom at all, look at Russia. As I've mentioned previously, Communism is a stateless society, that is very similar to Washington's vision.

  18.  @DavidTurner-rk1fu  Britain was in turmoil when the US broke free, George III was mentally ill, he couldn't run his own country never mind everyone else'. And the British were holding down colonies in Canada, Africa, and India at the time as well. And people tend to forget that the Americans vastly outnumbered the British, they US had 40,000 militia, over 5000 sailors with 159 ships, with an additional 63,000 French and Spanish allies, plus unknown thousands of Natives. The British had 48,000 men and 25,000 colonial Loyalists. That's 103,000 vs 73,000. The British outnumbered them at sea, but that didn't matter as it was a land war. It was US aggression that turned the Communists against them, what the hell were the US doing in Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, Grenada, etc.? Capitalism is the reason the US military is so inefficient, as they purchase weapons and equipment from private companies that get to set the prices, whereas the Soviets could produce all the weapons they wanted for virtually nothing. When Russia became Capitalist even they couldn't let their military production go. There is a state owned company run by the Russian government called "Roctec" that own pretty much all Russian military companies, like Kalashnikov, Degtyarev, Russian Helicopters, etc. Meanwhile the US are busy buying guns from the Germans and the Belgians at whatever price they set. It's kinda funny though, that the most socialist part of the US government is the US military, a state run organisation that uses tax money to pay for free healthcare, education, housing, insurance, clothing, food, training, and materials, and it's made up of "volunteers" and they spend a lot of time doing disaster relief work.
