Man suits went from too big (like David Byrne but with shoulder pads) to too small.....probably to help infantilise (like school kids who have grown out of their uniforms) and make men less attractive to women. When the tight pants trend started, I just assumed that a lot of the guys I saw wearing them were gay (as they were often brightly coloured too!)
