In Australia we now just let them in legally as long as they agree to work in and help reduce wages in the service industries and sign up to a 'course' of some kind to also help prop-up the education industrial complex......where we'll then maybe give them residency and citizenship..... and they'll be new Australian's, who have been normalised into the exploitation of other foreigners after having already agreed to be one themselves, if only to pass through the shameless system.  I designed the Australian Citizenship logo years back, it featured a pair of shaking/embracing hands with the subtitle/tagline "welcome to our family". The immigration department stopped using it around 10-15 years back and I was disappointed at first but also glad too as the sincerity of the message/idea had clearly changed to something far more shameless. The new logo should probably have someone bent over and taking it from behind (or giving a BJ) while handing over money and being whipped at the same time!
