I've lived in Melbourne Australia for 50 yrs and this city now feels like a shadow of itself while infect-filled with Invasion of the Body Snatchers inspired pod-people or vapid (while fake-smiling) Stepford Wives....It now feels like a strange alternate version of itself compared to say 15 years ago. I'm also the ONLY person I know who refused the compliancy experiment so maybe it has done something to brains and cognitive functioning as nothing really surprises me nowadays while things get stranger, more absurd and far too easily accepted with each new passing day.

  2.  @shoahkhan5670  Thanks for the well considered reply, I too work for myself (but had the business ruined due to the length of the lockdowns) and also lost my part time uni teaching gig due to the 'compliancy' even though I was ironically teaching from home online on Zoom at the time and was going to continue doing so for four more semesters after shamelessly un-personed. I wish the compartmentalised (I'm being polite) would hurry up and wake up, most I know still don't even want to talk/think about any of it.....which just leads to nothing being learnt (except for what the manipulators learnt). In other circumstances I would have left by now (especially when now struggling financially) but don't want to leave my elderly and good parents at a time where they now need my help.
