Life Balance?......My dad was a (well paid) IBM engineer and a high functioning Aspy who we barely ever saw as a family while he Aspy'd away for them (like a good ant) after passing his deliberately targeted umm 'aptitude (pattern recognition) test'.....They sure liked the idea of 'the family' though with their creepy family days and us kids often going in to work over the school breaks with 'learn to code' corporate indoor camps, which I actually enjoyed even if I did think that my dad worked for a cult..... while thankful for my mum filling the more humanist part of the parenting. My dad thankfully got to finally live..... once retiring!

  2.  @infuseme2  That's a whole other 'whataboutism' issue (and distracts from the point being made). I was responding to the sold (but ironic) concept/idea of work/life balance from the video.....the accepted idea that a company will take everything you give is correct but can also unfortunately be an apathetic acceptance of it....and ironic when a balance is being sold.  Missed fathers are missed less when Aspy's and useful (to the ironically sold idea), I'm just glad mine has a more balanced life now since retiring where his more balanced and more human life has a better chance of simply being.
