Genuinely good/aspirational classic-liberal ideas have unfortunately been co-opted and subverted by The Manipulative Cult of Supposed 'Good Intentions' (deliberately NOT further considered), which has successfully 'encouraged' a LOT of folks to now OVER-prioritise feelings (especially the self-serving kind) and what is SOLD to them as 'politeness'. ......at the expense of ALL else unfortunately (including ACTUAL reality).....which they'll more easily do when/if far too easily-led AWAY from MORE considered critical-thinking (which takes more effort) or if they're simply just more inclined to (or rewarded for) being apathetic. If the same manipulators also over-'encourage' narcissism, a self-identified sense of victimhood and relativism over objectivism (while 'rewarding' it all) you quickly just end up with a cauldron full of REALLY dangerous, clueless and shamelessly self-serving useful-idiots where ANY easily self-justified/serving thing can then happen. We SHOULD have learnt MORE from Germany, The USSR and the current PRC.....who were ALL deliberately infected (and then self-infected) by the same type of regressive malaise, while the masses were shamelessly SOLD and TOLD (or simply, like simpletons, then told THEMSELVES) something pretty, despite and regardless of the increasingly lessened 'NEW' reality they unfortunately found themselves ushered into (and inescapable from).
