Competition is good and helps encourage innovation......but the benefits can easily be negated too if your competitor doesn't value (or just steals) IP and then uses the resultant 'cheap' to manipulate/subvert and ultimately monopolise the free-market, which RELIES on valuing IP and preventing monopolies to sustain itself rather than being a deliberately devolved race to the bottom.
