  1. I support the right to repair your own car. However 20 years ago your car manual used to give information on how to adjust the carborator air/fuel ratio and valves, Today the manual has to specify to those "mumble rap kids", "Do NOT Drink the battery acid." Also with the complexity of Hybrids and Electronics that carry hundreds of volts not just 12volts, a stupid person can do a lot of harm to themselves and then want to sue the car company hoping for millions of dollars and thus companies have to spend more money towards legal affairs instead of innovation. It would be nice though to have simpler means and methods to repair the vehicle that you paid hard earned money for and not rely only on a dealership which may infact have worse mechanics than the independent mechanics but how do you avoid the "Stupidity" of the modern generation who simply like to sue for everything because nothing is their fault.?
