@rphb5870 I do not claim that all problems in Africa are of ethnic origin. But a good example of ethnic differences of people living in the same country is what happened a month ago in The Hague, Netherlands with Eritrean groups (refugees) who clashed, during these riots they set a bus and some police vehicles on fire. They fled their country (hell) and came to the Netherlands, but their hatred and cultural differences are so huge that they cannot look each other in the eyes. In that respect, we can say that Flemish people are generally tolerant and peace-loving people, and I am not talking about their politicians. A great aversion against the EU (and their established parties) has developed, which is fueled by the EU's Top Down (globalist agendas) policy, not only in Belgium, but in all European countries. There will be a push towards right-wing (non-established) often nationalist parties in the elections this summer out of dissatisfaction with current policies. One of such parties in Flanders is Vlaams Belang.

People who will now choose Vlaams Belang are expressing dissatisfaction with the established parties, which, just like in other countries, pushed through agendas without listening to "the people". Especially at the EU level, where the sovereignty of the individual national parliaments (the people) has been seriously undermined by numerous EU rules, in which the people feel that they have had no say in the matter. The most striking is of course migration, which has gotten out of hand due to EU rules (incompetence, unwillingness, deliberateness?) and which many wonder what the main agenda is behind it, because (even incompetent) politicians never do anything without (pushed) ) agenda.

 @quintiax The man was not even on the list to be elected as a "representative" and therefore cannot/could not even be an "elected" representative and that is not a narrative, but reality.

@rphb5870 West Virginia and Virginia don't have to separate, they are two separate states. And the EU would have been better off remaining a trading union, with the individual member states retaining their sovereignty. As it is now, things are going very badly and the people are gradually starting to realize it. So not top down, but from bottom up

@rphb5870 The history of the United States cannot be compared with that of Europe. Belgium is an artificial construction that was agreed upon at the time (around 1830) by the then geopolitical forces France, England, Prussia, in Europe. It was doomed from the start by an elitist (non-democratic politicians and clergy) structure that ignored and disrespected the language of the majority of the population. French had to be the official language, while the vast majority, including in Brussels, spoke Dutch. My grandmother (who I never heard speak French) was born in 1890 in Brussels and did not go to school because there were no Dutch-speaking schools at the time. Anyway, you can't change history, you can learn lessons from it, but politicians rarely do that, they make the same mistakes over and over again (out of their own interest). Look at Africa and the cultural and tribal disputes, where the borders of the countries are still the same as those drawn haphazardly by the colonists at the time
