  1. Is ventilation rubbish? Research has indeed been done by, for example, an analyst in the Netherlands, named Maurice de Hond. He couldn't understand that in a short time hundreds of people could suddenly become infected, the so-called mass infections. This could not be done outside just by contact with one or two infected people. Mass infections that happened in the south of the Netherlands at the very beginning of the corona epidemic, during the carnival that is celebrated there. The mass contamination in Ischgl, Austria also caught his attention. He analyzed the cases and quickly came to the conclusion that the infections had not happened outside on the street or on the ski slope, but inside the halls where the after parties or apres skies were held. In those closed spaces, the air must have been contaminated by one or two people, as a result of which everyone who stayed in this space for a few hours was infected by inhaling the contaminated air. In other words, they were breathing the virus in large quantities directly into their lungs, the most vulnerable place to covid19. Not their hands, lips, nose or eyes, no, directly in the lungs. In Ischgl even the man behind the bar (bartender) was infected. Breathing in contaminated air, due to lack of ventilation, also happens in nursing homes and yes, even in hospitals. The people (elderly) who sit in these retirement homes breathe in the same air almost 24/7, which may possibly be contaminated. This is also one of the reasons that older people living at home are less at risk than older people in nursing homes. So I wouldn't underestimate ventilation. I myself (66) was infected with covid19 by a person (49) with whom I worked, who was in turn infected by his father-in-law (82) who lived alone but had contracted the infection in hospital, where he was admitted (corona free) for about 10 days for treatment unrelated to corona. We have all survived the infection, even the seriously ill old man (82) who was quarantined with his daughter and son-in-law because they stayed in his house to assist the man in recovering from his illness, which had nothing to do with corona. The infection was diagnosed at the old man's home about a week after his discharge from the hospital. The people from the hospital spontaneously came to his home to perform the test. It has never been admitted in so many words, but apparently something wasn't kosher in the hospital. Maurice de Hond who is a good analyst, contacted (for help) virologists and epidemiologists worldwide, they confirmed his analysis that indeed with respiratory viruses, such as influenza, corona, etc., the infection can certainly happen through the air. For example, a lot of people who are together in a very poorly ventilated room for a long time can become seriously infected (directly in the lungs) by inhalation. I mention Maurice de Hond, but he is certainly not the only one who has studied this.
