Sensation is of course nice if you want to post YouTube videos. Extremes have not increased, they are only more easily captured on image, because almost everyone carries a photo/video camera in their pocket. The weather can no longer escape being registered. During the floods last year in Germany people shouted "never happened before". While there were historical marks on the houses there as to how high the water had risen during past floods. And... then there were floods where it was much higher than that "never happened before" flood from last year. Good that those historical markers are there to refute the "never happened before" exaggeration and lie. Weather is just capricious, always has been and always will be, the haughtiness/hubris/pretension of modern man will not change that.
