@oscar-bc, usa gained because europe was destroyed, & the rich europeians took there "money" & went to "un-destroyed" usa & set up factorys there.Russia foolishely "allowed" usa to gain accesess to all the "german war technologeys" [rockets, jet egines, nuclear bomb, submerines, ect]. And In the last 70 yrs usa has only added nuts & bolts to these "technologies" (as even today they are basicely the same as the germans had developed them 70 yrs back) goes to shows how much science & technology "ability" usa has !!

@aman, i as an Indian thank germans for my freedom, they destroyed uk, which made me/india free. The west can tell me/scream germany was bad, (maybe for them) but not for me, not for me.
