It took him (& his govt) 6 months of this to realise this would not just "go away". He ordered an intelligence inquery into these people/NOS's & it turned out 5,000 of them were active in anti-national activities & were reciving tonn's of un-accounted $$ funds from usa, which was being spend to fule mis-information & dissident nation wide, with objective of "colour revolution" in india (obama & hillary were in office then) (it was around 2014-15). Modi acted immidately, hard & swift, selaed there offices, sezed & froze bank accouts, jailed organisers & banned these NGO's forever. It saved his Govt & it probably saved India from becomeing another Pakistan or Libya or at worst a ukraine (againest china). These NGOs are poison, my openion about them changed forever after what happned in India. World should be beware of these organisations (NGO's), they are snakes
