From:- RSingh (New Delhi) BRICS will kill the Dollar, This how Brics "Trade Account Unit" (currancy) will work, Say one "unit" equals one Yuan, China gdp divided by its population equeas its total yuans/"units" it has, For India (or any other country) its gdp divided by its population equales its total "units" it has, When trade happnes, deal is struck in "units", Hence China gets India units & india gets china units, When further trade happens (say with a third country), china can use its indian units to pay that country (if agreeable) & india can use its china units to pay a third country. Each country will honour its "own" "units" (meaning its own currancy). In short NO forigen exchange is involved/required & countries will trade in there own "sovereign" "units" (the value of each countrys "sovereign" "unit" will be decided/arrived at by Special Banks (taking into account that nations, gdp & population, inflation, growth, deficit, & such).
