@MrTruckerf I hope ur joking, but if not that's incorrect. EV's have front and rear gearboxes, differentials, cv axles that contain grease, and also have coolant that cools Chargers, inverters and electric motor stators and rotors.

@evansuggs very true and even more so that the lubricating oils don't experience the high heat and contamination from the combustion process. It's basically like oil in the transmission or oil in the differential, it lasts for a while and can be easily recycled. I think the issue is that Tesla pushed this false marketing agenda for such a long time to take the EV lead at any expense, that they have actually convinced people that Teslas don't use oil, common sense would tell u otherwise but not everyone is mechanically inclined, Most customers are not. But your spot on.

@mcplutt a thick amber colored medium viscosity gear oil and after 2016 a thinner gear oil.
