I've always thought about this especially while working on and test running jet engines, the amount of pollutants exhausted becomes evident very quickly when in close proximity to a running jet engine, its very hard to breathe to say the least.

Curious Droid you're absolutely right, the last time I looked up in the sky and thought about that, that's exactly what I was thinking so far away so nobody realizes what it is. I also thought about this recently, I was looking at a boat and the fact that they used water as a muffler by dumping the exhaust right into the water. Can you imagine the amount of chemicals being absorbed by the water.

Penfookio Productions very true, low margin engines are much worse than newer designs. Regardless there are many chemical reactions that occur with all Jets engines and Curious Droid mentioned a couple in this episode. But the way I think is beyond all of what we currently use today. E.G yesterday I was at the beach and I saw a ladybug land on my arm, that lady bug flew off of my arm to about a hundred feet away in the air over the water, she came by Landon near me again after about 3 minutes of flight, then she took flight again for a few more minutes and landed somewhere else beyond my sight. I turned around and told my sister, something is wrong with our current aeronautics, I just witnessed a ladybug get airborne for about 6 minutes, and she still has energy for more, if we did the math and compared her fuel to weight to flight time ratios to a fighter jet or even a helicopter, what would those numbers look like?. How much fuel does she have compared her take off weight, what's the energy density of her fuel and how about efficiency?, in my opinion our current latest developments are primitive compared to even the insects that we live amongst.

Jeff Lee hahah... Actually I don't mind the smell, I also like the smell of nitro methane and nitric acid in the air. And when I run my Supra it smells like burnt corn, since I'm running E85.

@pavelp80 I'm sure you're correct, as the relation in the size of the air molecules and the insects surface will change and I'm sure the efficiency will plummet.
