@andrewbordeaux1344 Then it's rotating just like all the other lights in the sky accept Polaris. There are no geographic poles, so no celestial poles. Only magnetic poles. The Southern Crux is not helping to find a magnetic pole either. It does help people to find their way away from directional north. The north star points the way north to where the magnetic pole is and directional north. Sorry Andres, but this is not a good argument for you. It's just circular reasoning where you beg the question of a celestial pole to conclude the earth being a sphere. You have to prove there are geographical poles not make assumptions about lights in the sky.

@GalaxyTracker You said changing a "curved surface to a flat." Lol. Wander why we need to do that? Because earth is flat and we never have to account for earth curve when navigating. I don't care about sending you a GIS system. I don't even know what it is. It sounds like from your own post it has errors. Any system starting out with the earth is a globe is going to have errors converting that into reality. How does using GIS prove the ground we live on is a sphere?

@francescomedri1371 Coriolis effect is an apparent deviation (not actual deviation). It's also an effect. Effects don't cause winds or hurricanes. Hurricanes are ACTUALLY deviating and have nothing to do with the Coriolis effect. Sadly, words don't have meaning to you. Rotate Independently means earth is not tethered to the air. If it were then you would only have one reference frame. And again gases have no bonds so they move freely and are able to spread far apart. So now that we are clear that the air is Not attached to the earth, if earth turns it will turn underneath objects in the air like a drone helicopter or airplane. Again a drone or helicopter could hover and have destinations come to them. A flight from Charlotte NC to Los Angeles California would take an hour and a half. But that doesn't happen because earth doesn't turn.

You want to magically believe the air (gas) is tethered to the earth. That's not true and it would only give 1 reference frame because everything is moving together. Coriolis effect requires 2 different reference frames. You know that if you concede that the air is not turning with the ground you are dead meat. So you talk about a bunch of things and velocity and yada yada yada to distract from the fact that you have to pretend the air is attached to the ground.

@francescomedri1371 Okay, so the atmosphere is not moving with the earth. You just said that. The plane in the air is not moving with the earth also right? So the earth can turn underneath the plane. So a flight from Charlotte NC to Los Angeles California would take an hour and a half. But it doesn't. This debunks the earth rotating.

You're talking about removing the atmosphere, atmosphere tethered to earth, atmosphere not tethered to earth. I get that all you have is a model and apparently it's okay with you to change whatever you want with your model. But I thought we were discussing reality. Since you said "plead." Lol. If you are using your compass you can be in all 3 places on our plane looking south (away from the magnetic field) at DIFFERENT TIMES and see the same constellations because the stars obviously rotate around to each place.

@Captain_Pudding The horizon is behind the second platform which is 9 miles away. From an observer at 1 foot height the horizon should be 1.2 miles away. This destroys the earth being a sphere.

You have never had science to prove the Earth is a sphere or moving. And I am not claiming science proves the earth is flat or stationary. Science does not answer what is questions. It answers how and why questions. The shape or aspect of the earth are what is questions. And there will never be a way to validate the shape of the earth as a cause of an effect because there is no way to manipulate or vary the shape of the earth. There is also no way to validate earth turn as causing any effect because there is no way to vary or manipulate earth turn. So stop claiming science. There are no experiments to back heliocentrism because the scientific method can't be applied. Got it?

@TheirishkingadventuresBlogspot Models are not reality. 1. There are no hemispheres. All stars rotate east to west. Direction of rotation is dependent on the direction the observer is facing. 2. There is no geometric horizon. So we know ships are not going over Earth curve. But the answer to your question is perspective. The observer is closer to the ground so the ground will block his field of view faster than the sky does as the sky and ground converge to create the apparent line we call the horizon. 3. Irrelevant question. Earth's not curving so no need to talk about curve. 4. I can only expose the lie to you. You need to ask the liars why they lie. 5. I see lights in the sky. Not the artist depictions of those lights. Even if they are spherical it doesn't cause the earth we live on to be spherical. 6. Our heavyness keeps us from flying. We're not held to the ground as we can jump move around. Heavy objects can't fly. That in no way proves that space time is being warped. Lol.

Again you have the ground or water closer to you so it's going to obstruct objects before the sky does (bottom up disappearance). Just saying nu uh doesn't change how vision and optics work. Look down a long hallway and you will see the walls ground and ceiling appearing to converge. Lol.

The horizon has been observed to be farther than 9 miles away from an observer at 1 foot height. That's a geometric impossibility if the earth is a sphere with a radius of 3959 miles. We know the horizon is not earth curve. Lol.

Even at 128,000 feet the horizon is at a person's eye level. The horizon would be increasingly falling away if the earth were a sphere.
