There is a huge risk to human health and safety from the practice of eating unsanitary and infected wet market meats and the practice is so harmful to society that China had to outlaw the behaviour. Swine flu, avian flu. No carrot or banana flu. Living on a protein rich pure veg diet can sustain a very much larger population with less to no environmental or health risk. Humans have been recorded by archaeology living this way for hundreds of thousands of years. It is simple science.
