They are an essential part of improving the third world and must be produced in ever greater volumes. What is needed is sincere and humane international investments and this can easily be achieved almost overnight by collective effort. There is no reason the mines aren't operated according to first world safety and health standards. Starting now we will quickly overhaul the entire face of African mining and production. The BRICS summit is currently underway.
