If you watch the arc of his life, it's just extraordinary . An extremely talented boy, with a pushy father , because yes that's America then, not that much has changed.
And all he could do was...sing . And we know what he did. Kept us captive. His talent broke the screens and if you listen, he just wanted to be like you and me. A part the fact that he was very rich, I don't think that was what was is problem. He gave a load of money for charity. And for animals. So a guy, talent, money etc. And has a skin disorder. Then operations which are obvious. He didn't really care. Then the accusations. All debunked, not because of his fortune , just that they were false. A comeback , he seemed okay, but needed to sleep, a deep sleep. He was dying and his doctor was on the phone with his mistress. A legend died. And he had a lot of songs to give.
R.I. P. Michael. And so many thanks for your love ❤️

Here's another picture. Attention, I totally condemn that random violence and destruction . That there is racism in France, sure, but are all French racists, no. However, whilst it was a hodge podge of young , 13 - 17+ yo, and of all origins. If you are of north african or the subsaharan origin and live in a certain part of the city , town, well, you will be discriminated for a job, even though you may have excellent grades in school. Here are other factors. The last one is the most frightening.
- single mothers. The fathers are often absent, and the mums work. If they have a job.
- the kids tend to be in gangs along ethnicity, but mostly because they are immigration descendants anwd, let's say it, are considered as second-rate citizens. *
- religion. Like everywhere else, but you have religious people where the mosques and the preaches come from abroad : Turkey, saudi Barbaria, Morocco, Algeria. It's a big problem, YouTube is a very good tool to use.
- and this brings you back to the identity issue. Religious attire. And there it's a huge problem because France separates religion and the Republic. Even if France is a Catholic country. Very few churche-goers.
- they don't feel french, but when they go to their parents, great grandparents country, they don't feel they belong either. Some do, but most don't, and they don't think that they have a future ! So anything goes, you get the points ?
- and last but not least : the drug dealers. They attacked a mayor's home with a car filled with explosives. He wasn't there, his wife, and 2 children managed to escape, she broke her leg btw, the intention was to kill the mayor, who is on a war path against those drug traffickers. And they have AK47 guns as well. That's the frightening part I mentioned because where they attacked, they were giving a message to the police. Which was simple : leave us, and all will be fine.
You must know that these drug barons are extremely ruthless and it isn't only in France but everywhere in Europe ! And the young men can earn a lot of money from that. It takes a spark, and there you go . You see the problems ?

It's true, I was intrigued by the name. It's really the religious thing that bothered me. When it's just coarse salt . So I find that a bit dumb naming it so. There's so many different types of salts, at first I thought that they prayed to it, which is ridiculous, right ? You have sel de Guérande, and from various parts of the world. You have Himalayan salts , mostly used for decoration considering the price, so just call it flaky or coarse. Nice video btw, because we didn't understand why. Oh, and just in case, you do know where the word salary comes from ?

To begin with, and I certainly can not call this journalism, the monarchy costs 51p person per annum. And he doesn't own Buckingham Palace, nor Windsor Castle, like the jewels and crowns those belong to the..Crown, the state if you wish, and not to the royal family. Sure, he is rich and holds a lot of land, but they now pay tax as well. The late Queen was forced to after the fire at Windsor Castle. Which you can visit, it's expensive though. Yes, they can annoy some people, but ask yourself one thing : the UK as a Republic ? And just be Great Britain? Somehow, it doesn't seem right. You have two people of Indian origin who actually aren't great examples of the indians in the UK. Especially that woman who wants to expel the refugees to Rwanda, which, as we know, is a beacon of democracy 🙄. Indeed, there's loads of problems in the UK, and yes, a lot of people are having difficulties. Like every country. This brit bashing is tiresome in the end. There's a thing called a mirror. It's a practical thing. You can actually see yourself. Try it .

I don't think so. I prefer a monarchy to a presidency. And the British one is really the best one, simply because they do make us laugh and, yes, all that ridiculous pomp and scandals and whatever you want. Except that they can't answer back. Are they fabulously rich ? Depends on how you count it. Musk, Bezos, Sugar Mountain, Branson, and even Sir Elton John are richer ! They represent a sort of stability in uncertain times as we are now in .I'm sure that Charles lll will be a successful monarch. It was not that they said, " Go plunder other lands and bring us gold, diamonds, etc." It was the businessmen ( women didn't count). The EIC was a private company before the government intervened and took over. Yes, there's a king that had a stake in the slavery trade. But don't forget that it was africans who also sold other africans as slaves. It was common then. Today, it has taken other forms

@swavnasahoo $500'000 isn't enough? She took it, signed some paper whereby she wouldn't discuss anything. Now she comes out for more . Why does term gold digger spring to mind ? If she comes out with other names, rich and powerful, and sues them as well. What will you say ? I have a friend, a woman who works with rape victims. Even she says she doesn't believe her. And she knows alot of victims. Most of time 90% or so, the victim knows the aggressor, someone in the family, Most cases. But none that goes on to meet the aggressor 3x ! Some women are abusing the Metoo movement. A bit like BLM, MLK fought against segratationion, for voting rights and now ? Black students who want to be between themselves ! Who's segratating whom now ? As for your " wokism " , sorry to be blunt : put it where the sun doesn't shine !

@nikhilkay1 they had wheat, wild vegetables, fish, tuberculars, turnips, beetroot , fruits, nuts, berries, and meat, not everyone or every day. The meat I meant. It was all said, and a lot of cultures had a mostly vegetarian diet. It worked, they built beautiful monuments, and btw it is said that beer originally comes from Egypt ! I did try a medieval dinner. It's, let's say, rather interesting. Roman wine is another thing altogether. Poultry was common as well.

@vermicelledecheval5219 Sorry, my phone is a bit annoying. I was saying that we aren't really obliged to do so. However, attacking for no apparent reason and even if we ( the West) have been players in this game and hold much to blame as well. OK, putler has been indicted by the ICJ for kidnapping kids. Surely, they could have found better as we can see what the russians are doing there. I.e. : kidnapped ( parents also willingly sent them) to lost places, etc. But, this is important they are still alive. Now, let's compare that with another illegal invasion : Iraq. Did the kids manage to escape? They were just bombed . That the world has gone madder than we thought, covid aftermath I call it, but just that example shows our own hypocrisy. And we need to face it. Nobody, except bankers and such, will trust the russians anymore.

@Sutapas Bhattacharya thanks for your very lengthy answers. True I had forgotten that person's name was : Bose. Get back later to that.
True Edward 6 or 8 , was a fascist too. But then, the now Windsors name was Batteburg Von Saxe -Gotha. They changed to Mount batten ( just a translation) then to Windsor ( the castle belongs to the state ) ; Churchill was a racist very true, but he did stand up to Hitler, but remember that in those days there were still European empires. UK, France, Portugal and Germany. Spain was in a civil war, with a fascist at the helm : Franco.
Now, no-one disputes the Bengal famine nor the reason it was brought about. But you can't say it was the first genocide, even if we can go further in time, but the Germans did do just that in Africa. In what is now Namibia, they killed, slaughtered " tribes " and this was before the Bengal famine. And sorry, but your Bose was a Nazi and curiously he was from Bengal, a rich family. What did he do to help? Not much it seems. Japan was in throes with their war, so they helped the Raj ? That Bose ( who had the good idea to die in a plane crash ) didn't care about Indians, like someone these days. And yes, the British were brutal in certain places of India, in others not so. Remember that India as a nation didn't exist then. The borders you have now, are down to the latest ViceRoy, a Mountbatten, as well as the problems you have with Pakistan and now China. Lucky you ! I suppose that you're for that Modi, with his backwards bunch of supporters. And no nobs is from noblesse as in SNOB = sans noblesse oblige. I have a question for you : are you a fascist? The way you wrote makes me think so. I'm a democrat, no leader for life and all that bullshit. Now how about doing something for your country? There's a huge amount. An Himalayan amount to do. Good luck !

Need I go further ? And you say free Asia ??? Thanks for the laughs.

@kinngrimm2212 Hi, I get your point , especially the 1% part. On that matter, you should note that those countries aren't doing much better for the poor. The US is the most influential country, nevertheless. Indeed, China is a major country as well, which we can not ignore either. I found it amusing that someone here was talking about the Bics . Which at first made me think of a ballpoint pen, and then I got it ! Take russia out. Well, they asked for it. Except for the banks, people are against them. As for the " global south," they really don't feel concerned about that war. As usual, problems in Europe ? They can say that's bad, but hey, you colonised us, still think that you are better, even if there's the majority of countries that are definitely corrupt. With dictatorships. But why should they bother ? The whole world is in a flux, and the US has enormous powers and an equal amount of problems . The UK is in a bad state. The EU is trying to find a place amidst this cacophony, and let's face it : it's just not relevant. The 2 countries defeated in WWII, Germany, and Japan have risen from the ashes. I'd like to know, have you ever visited other countries elsewhere than in western Europe? They have different perceptions. Greetings from Switzerland.

In quite a lot of European cities, not the big ones mentioned here, but the small villages, the roads were built after letting a few donkeys loose. As they are sure footed animals, the people followed them and built the roads. And yes , American suburbs all look the same. Perfect lawns, cars everywhere and boring. Maybe there's places in the US that have charm but he didn't show that. And from what I've seen when I visited the US, it was basically skyscrapers and rather depressing. And there's practically no public transport. A few buses here and there. Trains are awful, Atlanta airport is so huge, you need a guide to help you find the gate you need. All in all , I won't visit again. The people were very nice and friendly, it was the God bless you crap that annoyed me. So I said let him bless the pilots and the plane , I'm OK. Oh , sorry, god bless you too.

The problems seem political though. Blaming the USA, which isn't in the program, is simply silly. They also have the same problems in the southern states. Could China help ? Definitely, they can. This is a great effort that's been done, and it should happen quickly. As for firewood, there's the solar power to be used. For cooking and for fridges. Those exist already. Another thing : water. I liked the idea of using goats to disseminate the seeds. It shouldn't only be Senegal doing all the work, we know that it can be done quickly, if the CEDAO really does it's job ! A mango tree can take 10/15 years to develop fruits. But, as we see, the population is also very concerned about the problem and help. So maybe, we can try to convince our governments to help them. This is very important for them and us. My best wishes to all who are working on this.

@josephineamawiafe9428 Thanks for your vitriolic reply. Charming. To begin with, who created the UN ? Secondly, did anybody force the newly independent countries to join ? Answer : the US and no . Third, have you heard about the Cold War ? African countries were the proxies in that war. Yes, international institutions are skewed into the West's favour, and that is about to change. Again, you talk about pain, etc. Your grasp of geopolitics seems very poor imo. Again, you fail to understand that it's the governments who are to blame. You can rightly accuse France for many reasons, but not for the mismanagement of those countries. You don't mention that it's the elites there that have the wealth, as for the poor... so maybe you should check the facts first.

@don66hotrod94, Have you thought that it could be possible, just possible, that it could be for other reasons ? Something like, war, political repression, religious persecution, etc ? And also that a lot of shit happening there is also mainly our own fault ? Because in the middle east, we weren't exactly fantastic were we ? Perhaps, you should inform yourself more, before saying that. I know the problem very well, Thank you.
2
-
@robertallison9044 Exactly, you are right, maize as well requires a lot of water. That's why we have to use other staples that don't need so much water. Like sorghum, millet of which there's several varieties, and there's others as well. I went to a conference last week, the foreseeable consequences of the climate change on crops, and amongst the solutions advanced was to go back to the varieties that were put aside by the agri-business . Those varieties were adapted to the soil and weather. The snag is the yields are lower. Then, the pesticide problem , with the lobbyists who are extremely active in blocking any legislation on their products. The fact that the standards in the US and Europe are different doesn't help much either. Now ponder this : right now, there's a flurry of FTA's being signed between around the world. And some countries/blocs have lower if any standards. There needs to be a harmonisation of those, and they have to be very high. I'll let you imagine the other problems that will happen.

Who are the the ones at the Polish border ? Sure that Minsk twit airlifted to Belarus? Syrians, Iraqi and a few afghans. Now why would they want to come to Europe? Because their countries were, nicely bombed into practically oblivion. Hmm, by whom already ? Oh yes ! The land of the free ! Which has been at war for what ? More than 227yrs since independence? Trevor doesn't adress that question. But Russia is bad according to him. The muricans, the political ones, have this cold war nostalgia. That twit is correct when he says, but you created the problem in the first place. Another thing he missed, Trevor, is that those immigrants are now leaving, freezing to death isn't what they expected. They wanted to go to Germany, not Poland but pass through. The Poles aren't known to want any refugees. Like Hungary. This is all about western hypocrisy. In Ethiopia, that president should give back the Nobel peace prize. Like St Obama, drone lover. 🙄. Wars on the African continent are complicated ? Who drew the maps ? 👀. Who exploits the mines and who arms the various groups that are fighting for their rights. Because who's cajoling the dictators there? Same ,same. The US is a rich country, but all things considered, they're losing their appeal now. Its easy to destabilise a country, region but there's the consequences. Note all those trying to enter the US. Just an example : in Cuba there was, during a day, protests because well, the economy is dropping a lot. No deaths. Then you have the governor of Florida who says that the US must liberate them. At the same time you have Colombia where thousands were doing the same : number of deaths? Silence. No condemnation from the US. Funny, don't you think? As for the tennis player, I really hope she's OK, but with Xi in power, she was daft to post that . she should have known! He wants to be greater then Mao. In a way, this covid that they nicely exported is back again over there. Honestly I watched the video with interest, but honestly. I'm very sorry. Badly made. He can do better.

@1000ciels having a building hub isn't the same as having a military base. It's for tomorrow so that's not on the books yet. Secondly, France is also in talks with India to have parts of the Rafales made there. As India has now ordered 26 more of those. For the submarines, not much has been divulged, so idk. But again, those are not military bases. Wherever those things are built, there'll be very high security. I agree with you about the oil imports, but here they never said diesel but instead they say refined. Whatever, in any case, India gets money, so if that can help it for its energy transition, fine, but it has to hit the accelerator. Now ! As for the sanctions, they are necessary. Because of what russia is doing. Tbh, I'm bloody fed up with both .

@noelgibson5956 That does seem a bit high %. But how does your system work down there ? It sounds very lackadaisical to me. Surely, if you are a student, you get a student card that you have on you all the time ? And don't those schools/universities keep track of them ? It shouldn't be that difficult, I guess . Also, as a student, you can't bring your wife/husband there, or can you ? The resentments shouldn't be taken as racism, but as legitimate questions that you need to ask the authorities . Here, foreign students are allowed to work, but only 20h a week, the inscription fees are higher for them, but nothing extraordinary, something like SFR2000 per year. It's simple, so why don't you do the same ? I'm curious to know 🤔
2

@noelgibson5956 The thing that amuses me is universities, and the media are always catalogued as the left. I'm more green and social-democrat. Sometimes, I have even voted for a proposition that I thought was reasonable, and it came from the parties who are on the right. Admit it. In some cases, you can't see the difference between both. The only centre often wobbles depending where the wind blows. As I said, we don't have problems with foreign students. Australia is a federal state like us, so laws differ from state to state, and that's okay. On this point, I really would advise you to go ahead and ask those questions. I would have already done it. Besides, Australia has such stringent laws concerning visas. Just get them implemented ! Here's a suggestion : go ask the university how much they charge the students, go fetch some of the students and ask them how much they paid to come and to whom. It's obvious that the system isn't working. Otoh, sending refugees to Nauru and PNG wasn't the greatest idea, btw. Here, people are muttering about why a certain category of refugees are given a royal treatment and the others are parked in refugee centres. I find that unfair.

@WarFace-lj4kx totally reliant upon it ? It depends where you live. In California, they are doing some good work with it. Now, it doesn't necessarily mean that you have a huge electricity facility, whatever. You can use the rooftops, the highways, and personal panels for each house, e.g, stoves, fridge, and lighting, too. That can easily be done in the villages. Naturally, the housing will have to change, but there's a lot of architects ready to help.

@fjordhellas4077 that's very true, but this is an indian audience, and they aren't bothered about knowing that ..coffee comes from Ethiopia, Somalia, avocados from central America ( in nahautl it means testicle) in ancient Rome it was Ciceron who complained about the gold they were sending to India for spices. In particular, to Kerala, which made them fabulously rich. And as you rightly said, it was the arab merchants that were at the heart of the trade. Petra and Palmyra were stopping places ( and beautiful) for them to carry on to the sea where it was the Greeks that took over. Turkeys are from North America. However, there were no chickens, which apparently originated in Indonesia. For the major staples, tomatoes, potatoes, and maize, it was the Portuguese who actually dispatched it around the world. But we can thank the arabs for their help.

@SAkash-hj1jl hello, I hope to be able to answer your questions. Firstly, I'm not french but I live next door to France and I do know them well. Your question about how do they perceive India ? Well, the images are contrasting because, and I think that a lot of countries have the same issues : the poverty, pollution, the caste system ( that, my friend is a huge problem, for everyone) the religious tensions, that's the negative part. On the positive side, it's the scientific one that and the space program, that satellite that ISPRO ( I think ? ) sent to Mars, on a shoestring budget. Believe me that impressed everyone ! Of course, the food ! Can't escape that, can we ? And the culture, which is fascinating to many people and confusing. The natural beauty, that what's preserved, the fact that the people are very nice and welcoming. If you ask Mr Average guy on the street what he can say about India ? Its simple : Taj Mahall and mostly the Mahatma. See ?
Concerning the riots, I recommend you to read my posts when First made a video about it. I explained in length about that. And no, no newspapers tried to hide whatsoever. Quite the opposite in fact. As for can India trust them ? You can return the question. It's often said that countries have no friends, it's true in part . Thing is to align both your interests and stick to the agreement. That way things will work out. Btw, do you know which and one state is regularly mentioned in the news ? It's Kerala. I don't think that you are surprised by that. I hope that I answered your questions ? If not, feel free to ask. It's 38c here !"

I agree with you, but face it, you can not travel around the world if you don't speak English. Yes, those rainy 🌧 Isles gave us all their biggest treasure: their language. No language is pure, and English is a mix of different languages as well. As well as it's complicated. However , the basics are very simple. That official papers are in the official language is fine. But what in case of countries that have several ? Like in my country? We have 3 official ones and one that was only recognised a few decades ago. Incidentally, our bank notes won the best design. You never heard of it, neither did I. Sure, someone will trudge the colonisation stuff and slavery ( africans were implicated in that trade as well ), and the funny thing is, English is language that spreads and accepts other words, meanings we can agree about it . YouTube is very funny, for once this channel has something to say. The trolls as usual are here

@user-ic6vd1jc2x me again, ok, here is 🇨🇭 where I live. It's boring as well, but has a particularity shared with the Vatican 🇻🇦, Both are square. As in boring and we are boring. I'm crazy, but it's not about me. Yes, you are right, vexillologists say the best flags are those a 5yro can draw. But the taiwainese has too much red, with the blue looking sad up left with a star plonked in the middle. Nah, I know that you can do better. Why not try to create your own one and propose it ? Ask your friends, you will certainly have fun 👍 I'm very sure 😉. There's pretty flags out there. OK, Nepal 🇳🇵 is unique and lovely. Bhutan 🇧🇹 as well, though drawing a dragon is a bit difficult. Then you have islands that are quite good, but hey, give it a try just for fun and show me . Next Tuesday ?

@tada2508 you are right, but I'd like you to make a distinction between those born in France and the new arrivals , the refugees or migrants. The latter are forced to flee, political, religious, economical, sexual, you name it. I was a volunteer in a refugee centre and I learnt a lot from them. But those who already live in France have grievances that's true, but refusing to accept the law, imo isn't the best way to live better. People shouldn't conflate the two. The police are violent, but you can understand them. They catch a guy, 1 night in prison, with a meal, the next day he's out ! And then there's the drugs. Dealing can make a guy extremely rich ! Ask yourself how many people wouldn't want to earn more than 2k euros a week ? If not more ? And don't forget the arms. AK47s and whatnot. For sure, France is in trouble. I wish them well, though.

@MarieSinghKaur tant mieux. Super ! On seras déjà morts.

Okay, let's say it . Zelenski popping up like a jack in the box at every ( useless, mainly) international meeting is starting to annoy a lot of people. It's true that russia has invaded them and that they are brainwashed by putin in and the regime, which is a dictatorship. No one can deny that . The same applies to China, and India is on the slippery road to autocracy. But, other countries also ask why they should be concerned about that war ? When the genocide happened in Rwanda, the West mostly stood by. 1 million people were killed in 8 weeks ! India, China, Russia ? Nothing . Another thing that people keep bringing up is that the USSR was India's ally against the war, forgetting to know why : because it was the Cold War and they needed India on their side. That's the only reason. The world has become a total mess, and some want to bring old grievances to the fore
Well, history is nice to know about. Unfortunately, this is 2023, and the climate change is saying hi. Please accept my gifts :: droughts, floods, fires, new pandemics, and more. Curiously, not much is being done in coordination worldwide . Pollution? Just a thing. So, see, when we look at it, a war , which could have been avoided. Sorry, I'm more worried about what is happening to the Rohingyas, Ukraine before the invasion was happily selling arms there, like India and the usual bunch, and the other muslim countries aren't helping. I'm not religious, nor muslim, but the hypocrisy is overwhelming. Good luck to Ukraine
But all countries have their problems.

@PjotrII well, thanks. I live just next door to France, and we saw what happened in Mali. They begged the french for help against the islamists, and then, a coup d'etat, army, they kicked them out. Why ? Because the russians came in ( Wagner militia, as in Ukraine), are they better now ? Not really. The same goes for Burkina Faso. The problem concerning India is that the government doesn't seem to do anything to eradicate the appalling poverty of the majority, and as for the pollution, there is no need to add. Another thing is a lot of students would like to study in the US and UK. And live there ( the UK right now isn't the best place : a rich PM of Indian origin and cost of living off the roof, a PM , also of Indian origin who's hellbent on wanting to send refugees to..Rwanda of all places) but hey, russians are our friends ! As they care about India ! If you can watch LCI, it's a TV channel, well, it's become TV Ukraine. When we had the pandemic, we had doctors, specialists, and whatever . There, it's army generals, specialists, and journalists who pile on and on. India, well, that moody modi doesn't even care about the Rohingyas, much more than about the poor in his country. India should be careful. Other countries will also remember the role it's playing now. Btw, the EU should never have expanded to the eastern part. That was a mistake.

@PjotrII I'm glad that I didn't offend you. I can understand some fears about wolves. The Grimm brothers are to blame for that. A thing that you haven't mentioned, noticed is that dogs are more often than much, at the origin of attacks than wolves
They can see and smell you from afar, and they disappear. Another thing is that a lot of people have these big dogs and go up to the mountains ( to reunite with nature, hmm), and those dogs , happy, bark, and scare away other cervids. Which is the main food foor wolves and we have many ! Wolves are necessary. Like bears. Also, a lot of dogs here are bought via Internet from : Eastern Europe. There's a breed called Czech dogs. Those are very vicious, and most are to blame for the attacks against sheep. As with any wild animal, you know that you have to keep your distance. Sure, I live in Geneva, but I also lived in an African country, we always knew that respect them and back off. Very few animals attack humans. It happens, but who is to blame ? Them or us ? If you look at some attacks, it's human trespassing. Do you know how many wild lions are in the wild? 33k . That's all. Humans? 8bn. Sorry, but, no. Now we have chatgpt 4. Which basically is Wikipedia, but better. Sort of. And rather funny as well. I found it that way. I prefer books. Right now, it's all about blocs. Again, north vs. south. Sorry, but breeding like rabbits ( who really eats rabbits frequently? ) so flags and such is in my pov, ridiculous. Your team won the World Cup ? Hooray, but it was the players who won it, not you. Making stars out of that is just stupid. Considering the salaries. Btw, you have elks and they are very dangerous

India has a solution. It will cost a bit to begin with, but it'll be a way to wean themselves from oil and gas
And save them loads of money. Hydrogen. Solar, aren't there parts of India that have to much sun ? It's a technical problem at first, you need petrol to make the thing work, but then afterwards you won't need to. Naturally, India has to clean, and I really mean to clean up their rivers. One city in India now has clean water. Puri in the east of India. The rest ? The Ganges, or should I say , the Garbage, is so polluted ! What's really been done ? Putin has a problem, but we don't want a war because of him . China ? Like India, both have a population problem. Skyscrapers aren't the answer. Especially as they have a problem with transparency. India less, but still. Let's hope for the best.

Smart move. But who can trust Putin ? How can you say that Ukrainians are your brothers , and that that country doesn't exist, and happily invade them ? And spouting nonsense about a genocide ? And talk about de- nazification when Russia has a lot of neo-nazis ? I find that ironical that , yes the Ussr did defeat the Nazis, and yet you have groups in Russia that float swastika flags and go Heil Hitler !
I'm not against the russian people, who like everyone want to live in peace. But invading Ukraine is just wrong. The whole world has turned against Russia now. No more visas to many countries, airspace closed to russian flights. Sanctions, banned from football matches and other international sporting events, eurovision, banks , either they are masochists but they are going to suffer now. In case Putin has gone mad , and he's sick. Someone should bump him out of office.

I must say that after hearing that Sky News is a sort of Fox News, I was impressed by the quality of the analysis. Especially the fact that those immigrants have the french nationality. As was said, they don't want to integrate. At all. They want the + that the state gives, but not the - . For example: follow the law. It isn't difficult really to do that. One thing not mentioned, though, is that they don't know where they belong. Born in France, educated in France but torn between their parents' origins. Add islam, and there you go. This problem has been going on for decades. Right now, things seem to have cooled down, but the embers are still there. Oh btw, this Europe talk is just empty talk . I'll try to watch you.

@tony001212 I agree with you. I used to think that the russians were going to be a bit more like us in the West. The european governments thought the same. Forgetting one thing : you can not erase 72 years of dictatorship by a stroke. A cursory glance at their history is simply the very rich, aristocracy and royalty using the poor population. There were benefits of course : free schools, medical centres, housing ( which, I saw some on tv, rather crap), but that came with a condition : to toe the line. Follow the rules. Until the old people soon die off, and the young people are finally capable of saying stop. I don't see any solution. There's another discomfort about the role the US played and is now playing ? That orange buffoon did raise a valid point : how and why was Biden's son got a job there ? At Burisma ? With a purported salary of 50k usd A month when he has no qualification? And what was Victoria Nuland doing in Kiev before Maidan ? See, there's more questions that are still in the air. I don't know if you read this quote from a British MP or such, Ben Wallace : I drove 11h to Kiev and got a list of 11 demands, not requests, demands. I answered back, "we're not Amazon, you know."
That explains a lot I think

@kingdrew4435 Sure ! But, don't think that you can rely on a country that doesn't even have the power to win. Nor should India buy weapons from them, they haven't enough for themselves. Did you listen to Putler ? He claimed that they had destroyed 5 Patriots ! Except that, Ukraine has only 2. Which are fine. So you want to believe that shit. But you are right, Ukraine wants to bring all of the west into their war ! And I'm not sure that I think we should. Send arms, yes. But, I never saw something like this coverage about a war , which doesn't concern us ! Of course, I want the russians out of there. I don't want them in the Eu ! Nor in Nato. Those eastern countries are just problems waiting to ripen. And India, should make a strong stand. BTW, if they could stop selling military arms to Burma, that would be nice !

@vikasreddy3603 hi, the ceremony was soooo long ! Sorry, but we dozed off for a while. I didn't understand much. The spurs , bracelets, swords, etc . The crowning part was quite funny, the archbishop having to sort of screw it on his head, then there was the musical chairs part. A friend, Welsh, busy preparing lunch, was asking when it's finished. But all in all , we absolutely enjoyed it 😀! Yes, it's crazy, but perfect craziness. With class . No other country can stage such a beautiful thing. And I'm definitely not a flag waving guy, but it was special.

Which countries support that junta ? How many exactly ? The french should leave ? Perhaps they will in the end. They won't right now because they recognise the president Bazoum and not the junta. A way out would be for him, the internationally recognised president, to ask the french ambassador to leave. And he will do so. A part from the fact that the junta will lose face and he is locked up in the presidential palace, this is turning into a farce ! What deals have the junta made with the US ? I'm curious to know. Let the french army and ambassador get out,as well as the remaining french that are still there, peacefully, cut all ties to the EU, and then do your thing. Oh, and perhaps take back the refugees that are trying to, and drowning, to get into Europe ? Mobutu, who wasn't a choir boy, once said that the poor westerners give money to the rich africans. He wasn't wrong there.

Well, well ,well . The bots are having a field day now ! The opposite would have been surprising. But, so happy are they , that they don't even seem to know what the environmental consequences are : ask Bolivia and Chile . The rivers are getting polluted, the people next to the mines aren't profiting by them , China and the US are there, and we know what happens afterwards : money isn't helping the poor people , who can't grow their crops. And therefore creats discontent and political disorder . Then , how about recycling ? India and Asia are awash with trash, homemade, and imported. Does India have many recycling installations ? Not that many. Plastics, already a planetary problem, what is India doing about that ? Wion, as usual, doesn't address it. Neither have the bots. But for them, it's Pakistan and China. Either have greater problems, India, at least, for now remains a democracy, so it shouldn't compare itself to those 2. And tackle its own problems. Remember, we only have one planet, and waving flags is a just pathetic. Besides, all those phones that are thrown out, what happens to those ? Now please start thinking 🤔 ( muttering, with these bots , not sure ...)

@varun2250 Bombay , sorry Mumbai definitely stinks ! It's overwhelming ! For someone who isn't used to it, it's not the best impression. Again, the food is a story in itself. Btw, do you know why it was called Bombay in the first place ? So , we went to Kerala. The difference ! Well, I didn't know how beautiful it was ! Is. I did see some elephants, not in the wild, and honestly, I really felt at home.! Yes, that may seem strange to you, but it's true. My father was born there, and I'm the only one who went there . Otoh, the food is delicious as in all of India, but someone should tell them that so much spices ! Stop ! Please. That's when you get lassi, which is a relief . The sour one . Everything was just beautiful. I just loved my journey .
1
-
@varun2250 I think that I just told you. Bombay is noisy and stinks and full of people. And it's hot! I met lovely people, again the food, I've travelled a lot and I never eat street food. But there I did and didn't fall sick ! The sellers, a 6th sense ? Knew that, and always so polite ! But then I did meet some people, men only, who were very rude. I switched language, and I spoke in French. They did look stupid, but at least I escaped problems. Again, Kerala was totally different. I honestly felt like at home. A lot of things were different, but it was just the grace about everything there. We relaxed and had a really marvellous time there. I have to say that vindalloo ? Yes, you hog the loo ! I didn't have time to visit the other states. That would be a 6 month journey, and even . Most indians don't know much about their country .
1
-
1
-
@varun2250 how do you justify it ? On what basis ? In South Africa, apartheid did exist. It was based on the colour of your skin. In India, it's the same. There's beautiful people, but you keep trodding them down. I'm sorry, but I don't accept that . Watch your words when you answer back, btw, my father was a brahman. So I'm according to your stuff one. Sorry, but I'm also mixed race. We don't have a tribe but we are everywhere. What you don't seem to understand is that we admire India, but sorry, I was just so happy when I went to Kerala. The air was clean, when we went up to higher ground. Sorry, but you still answer my question : why was Bombay got it's name. Don't cheat !

@SuperGeezoid what do they gain from it I wonder ? There's people who are trying to help, and all this channel has to say, oh, it's bad over there ! That's very easy, here, to your surprise, it's old people who are taking our government to account because they won't be there to suffer from it. But their grand children and great grand children. So, the trolls here have nothing better to help their own country but hey ! She's wonderful ! Very pretty I agree, but a journalist? A mouth piece for the government. It's called propaganda. It's a real shame, because they can do better and show the people in India who are working to do something. Those are people who are very important and they aren't asking for fame, money ( it could help a lot of farmers and wean the use of pesticides) no, they work with humility. How many of these trolls the number of different sorts of rice India has and those that are saving those ? Sure, wiki and chatgpt will tell them. But did they even know? I doubt that. And I live in a european country but I know that.

Europe is not a country tbw, it's just an economic zone. All the countries have different interests , China only has hers. Yes, it's a dictatorship, but is the EU really that democratic ? Allow me to have my doubts especially with those eastern countries. The UK is in the shit that's very true, but that's because of the politicians who, apart from making everyone laugh, when they come back to their senses, they will be back. They voted out, in my country we voted not to join ! And we still don't want to. The EU is trying to position itself as an alternative to the US and China. Face it, those 2 don't really give a toss about it. They have a problem with each other. So don't think that the EU has much clout on the world affairs.

I understand his take on the passing of the Queen, but nobody " imposed " other people to mourn. Where did he get that from ?! Then he goes on to the empire for the colonisation, and yes, a lot of ills did indeed happen. Another thing that he didn't mention is that all those countries blaming the UK wouldn't exist, were it not for the Empire. Because they drew the borders ! That they don't want the Crown to be Head of State is fine. Another thing as well, we all wouldn't be speaking English either. So, grandmother or not, that's a poor dig. Nevertheless, ask how many countries sent a delegation for the funeral ? I'm British and Swiss. So my pov is different. Brw, Queen Victoria, didn't ask to become Empress of India. That idea came from the East Indian Company. She just said, "Why not?" . The Crown is just a symbol. A rich one. But we can't keep living in the past and keep whining about the empire. It's finished, gone. !

@vsharmishtha16 unless you haven't noticed, we're all on the same planet. Blaming, etc , isn't the solution. Lots of countries can go solar, the technology is there. Water is the major problem. As well as overpopulation. Sorry, but how are you going to feed people when there's droughts, then floods ( they follow each other ) and wildfires? Not counting the diseases, cholera is a major problem, and we have the means to eradicate it. But if there's no hygiene, polluted water. Tell me , what can we do ? If for religious reasons and political ones, I'm afraid, a lot of people will be suffering. For nothing.

@artyartemis5752 we all know that and you can rant however much, and you'll be right, but the fact remains that the US is by far the most richest, powerful and influential country on our tiny planet. As for genocide, what influence has India on the world stage ? Ask any foreigner to say what they know about it ; the answer will be Gandhi, Taj Mahal, cows, casts, maharajas, spices, cows, pollution, poverty, overpopulation, cows, tea, etc I could add Bollywood, but that's not fair since it copies a place in the US. So, no Japan gave its reasons. And think that the other countries that condemned your beloved shitarses in russia , they attend this useless hot-air meeting. Damn ! I forgot the cows !

@artyartemis5752 Hello, I hate the US. Thanks for the laughs. So, no final communiqué in the end, what do you say ? Btw, I wouldn't say that the Japanese are your brothers that'd be exaggerating . If they want to trade with you, good. There's no obligation for them to do so. But the best part of what you spouted, honestly, I couldn't stop laughing : you put a democracy, Japan with those russian invaders, chinese who hate both ? Reminder: this 2023 not the WWII . China is very rich and wants revenge against the " West " , just like India keeps harping about the Raj. But with whom does China trade with the most ? The West. Look at your lovey doveys , russia, 2nd army in the world ? Getting a nice thrashing from a country that didn't ask for anything ? Also, I'm not praising the US, as a moody modi troll, you can do better than that. Find something to make me laugh 😃. Please 🙏? Weather is a bit grey here, no longer freezing though.

@personalemail9329 I'd like to know whom I'm parroting. Hmm, you seem to love dictatorships . Why not go to russia that you love so much and be sent to be killed in a war that has nothing to do with you ? Or even china where you can't say anything? Oh, wait, moody modi the autocratic PM, probably that satisfies you. I think that Tata has a good relationship with Japan , isn't the Maruti car based on a Japanese design, motor and all ? And other things as well ? It's true that India is becoming a IT player, but compared to them and of course the US, there's still a lot to do. Oh, and your beloved russians, where do they figure ? Apart from useless arms, nothing really, oil ,gas, and hey pollution ! Let's see what happens this summer, drought, flooding, fires, more poverty...it nice to be proud of your country, but haven't you have more problems to solve? Besides, you didn't choose where you were born to begin with, but what exactly are you doing to help your country? Am I harsh ? I don't think so, of course you are a troll. I tried to find someone here who would say something like : invading, killing, raping and worse sending your own men to fight a senseless war , that's absolutely not acceptable! Apparently, for you that is. I feel very sorry and sad for you.

What isn't mentioned is how much does France pay for the uranium to the nigerien government ? They do lease 2 mines, but the country has more other mines. So where does the money go ? Oil is rarely talked about, who exploits it ? That the west africans want the french out, is fine, but it wasn't France that stopped them from developing their countries. Like the US, they did meddle in the political arena there ( difference is that the US it's the whole world, France just West Africa) . Corruption exists everywhere, but most of all in Africa. Start from there first . The irony is that many of them take the risks of crossing the Sahara and ( a lot do die ) then the Mediterranean Sea, where many drown, in order to get to..France ! Just today the Italian navy saved 57 people from a sunken boat, 3 dead people found, a woman and her baby and a man. They sailed off from Sfax, Tunisia and were from the Ivory Coast. And that's today 6th August 23 ! What else to add ?

The question isn't whether we can ask Deep Seek questions about China, the policies , etc. We know that we cannot.
It's just the fact that a company , most people never heard of before, came up with a cheaper option than the muricans ! And that's what hurts them ! Considering that China is also making huge strides in the space projects, India, on a shoestring budget, managed to send a robot to the south Pole of the Moon. Surely, muricans must be wondering, where's all that money , our money, going to ?
Because, Space X is paid by the muricans, not that crazy guy.

@bartsimpson8616 it's not that simple. . I've been to the US several times , and yes, I did notice the problems there. The obesity, the lack of knowledge about other countries, that it's just about money. Like some other countries. But I met lovely people as well, warm, helpful and friendly. People of all origins. That's what makes the US special. And, the food is delicious , too. So, yes, the best hamburgers are in small restaurants. The only thing that annoyed me, was the religious part. Jesus everywhere ! Not a word about the guns and the killings, no, which really doesn't add up. But otherwise, yes, I liked visiting there

@emazjassam2452 That's a good idea. As muslims, surely you can deal with Al - Quaida in Sahel, Boko Haram, and those other mad things? And not beg for help or hire Wagner to do the job ? Actually, those thugs are only interested in the mines, and the gold is sent to your wonderful friend : russia. They don't care about africans happily killing each other, which, be honest, africans do anyway. But, do yourselves a favour : tell those who are escaping your lovely countries , that there's no point in coming to Europe. Or maybe they should go to russia ?

@faa9261 sure, but wait a minute. Who is developing those mines, building infrastructure, etc, and who are plonking the money elsewhere, when the population remains poor ? Corruption exists everywhere, but in african countries, it's a way of life. You hate the West, fine . But China doesn't care about you. And there's the idiots that are in thrall with russians. Hmm, they are taking a hammering. But you don't follow the news, do you ?
1
-
Well, a lot of people elsewhere will just shrug and say " oh, another african country having a coup d'etat ? And blaming others as per usual " ! That Nigerian made me laugh " we are not going to attack our brudders ! " . Your brudders in Sudan are happily fighting each other and killing civilians who are seeking refuge in Chad which is overwhelmed now, the other brudders are doing nothing. As usual. The french, americans, germans and Italians were there to fight against those mad islamists. Who happen to be your brudders btw. France has been given 30days to get out. They really have to do so. Also, what about the brudders and sisters with babies who are drowning in the Mediterranean right now ? Leaving such wonderful places like Nigeria, Niger, Mali, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Guinea etc ? Always the same thing. But russia is a nice place to go and live, but why don't you go there ? Sad . Very sad.

This seems a bit futile coming from Macron . Remember the japanese exports? Everyone said those were shoddy goods but bought nevertheless. Then they upgraded their products, and people bought them because those were reliable and didn't yet have obsolescence programmed in. You can still find 1970s cars that are great. Then it was South Korea's turn. Same story, yet today? So why harp against China ? It isn't their fault that " Europe " didn't get their act together. As for Germany, remember the Diesel gate ? The chinese aren't lying about EVs . Personally, as I don't drive, I couldn't care less. However, blaming China for all the ills is dumb. The US is slow right now, but " Europe " is just limping around. Naturally, they are an important market for China as is the US, but what isn't mentioned is that China is concentrating on it's own country now. Even if they have certain problems and they will deal with those. I'm not chinese, can't stand that regime, but a) it's only a "communist " country in the sense it's top/down orders. CCP, now means the Chinese Capitalist Party. As for the EU, I'm glad my country isn't part of it.

@fritzforsthoefel8031 well, he does keep asking for money and arms, goes globetrotting and pops up at every occasion. I'm sorry, but there's other wars going on, and we have climate change. So, that war is, finally just another one . I still want to know how they will reimburse all that aid ? Apparently, you may know. Because it doesn't come free. I'm still smarting about that remark he made . Doesn't seem to bother you. Dresden would have been more apt. Do you care about other people who are suffering right now ? In Somalia, 1/2 mio people displaced because of flooding, the Rohingyas? The Uigurs in China? Sudan ? The fact that loads of wildlife is in a precarious state, if not on the brink of extinction? And that the pollution of the oceans is a due to our way of living ? I can go on. But according to you, I should be concerned about that stupid war ! Excuse me, but I don't think that way.

@LBC or maybe, are you ? Drinking too much alcoholic palm " rum " ? Once again you don't answer my points. And yes , as I mentioned, there's different types of palm trees and we talking about a specific one and the problems that are. As you keep difflecting, what's your point ? Oh, we had this for ages and no health problems..is that it ? How do you know and even today, do you? I doubt that. Considering the health systems over there. Have you money in that industry? Because, if you are concerned about your fellow countrymen, you would be . But , hey, delve yourself with palm oil. I don't.

@WrestlingRealitywwe as a goodwill gesture it will be nice . Secondly I'm not Pakistani, but it seems that you just love to hate them. As long as they don't bother me about religion, I think that India should send help. As for toilets, it's something that people remark. Between the turkish, and shitting by the road curbs, you choose. As a fact, does everyone have electricity, drinking water without having to go to the well ? Do you even know that PK has more glaciers, apart from the poles, than that any other country ? I'm sorry, religious shit aside, these are people who also need help. But your hate is stronger.

I'll let you guess. The countries I cited are not democracies byw. So it shows. It's like " hey, let's make a group and tell them to shove off ! Them, being the West. And who flocks to the US and the EU ? Do you see people rushing off to russia, china, india, brazil ? I haven't seen nor heard of that. Reading some of the comments here, all I can say is what an ungrateful bunch of whiners !
I live in Switzerland, and here the reaction was one of surprise. Do you, ungrateful bunch, have an inkling of a clue of how many countries would have loved to have a PM like her ? France ? Strikes, violence and grumbling, Italy ? Neo fascists in government, Spain ? Wobbly government, Sweden ? Tilting to the right, the US ? Becoming ever more dysfunctional,
China ? If you like to be watched, spied upon, and who knows, disappear for your good, India ? A PM vaguely trying to be of importance, Australia ? Between fires, floods, and in between, wish them the best. I'll skip other hot crap, and end with the UK where everyone had a good laugh and still are. And NZ ? Sorry, but when we looked at the world, and God knows what the utter shit was going on and still is, NZ just seemed like paradise. Sure , a few problems, but less. Not happy ? Pray buy a one way ticket to Beijing. I wish her well and thanks from all of us elsewhere.

@danwilliams4096 I'm sorry ? Most of the migrants come from the Brics ? Let me see : Brazilians ? No. russians ? I hope not ! Indians ? No. Chinese ? No. South Africans ? No. Most come from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria, and from subsaharan Africa. I agree that heavily subsidised agricultural policies are in the African countries' disfavour . But, otoh, nothing stopped them from developing their own agricultural policies . Where did all the money go that was sent for development ? It took a return ticket and back to the banks in the West. Did they really need to import wheat when they have other cereals that grow there and adapted to the soil and weather resistant ? Rice and maize need a lot of water brw. And to make matters worse, we have the agri - industrial giants that tell them which type of rice ,maize that they should plant ! I don't remember which american company, Monsanto ? who wanted to trademark basmati rice ! India and Pakistan were furious and stopped it right away. There's a grain that grows in west Africa, it's called fonio, it grows like wild grass, and you can have up to 3 harvests a year. Now, it's much more nutrious than wheat, rice and maize ! Guinea has a few farms and exports to the neighbourhood. The problem is it's hard work ( as usual it's the women who have to do it) to separate the grains from the rest. So you need a harvester machine and it can be done . As long as the government doesn't pocket the money.

@hananokuni2580 they account for 40% of the world exports, both. A lot is for the Middle East , and some for western Africa , As for Rotterdam, idk what exactly happens next. Let's see what it gives this weekend as Erdoğan is going to meet putler. The russians are playing a very sinister game. They are bombing Odessa, which is the main granary port, and that is very bad news . At the same time, they are saying to the africans that it's the West who is at fault. Because of the sanctions, AFAIK doesn't concern the grains. And, as you know very well, there's an anti West resentment that's growing up in many countries. For China, you are right about that. This year will be difficult for them because ot the weather now

@jesuschristlovesyou.3669 18months with this pandemic, and we hardly still, you me, the plebs what, understand anything. Yes, they were working on bats, but then they weren't the only ones to do so. You have P4 labs in Europe and the usa, . Don't worry, or maybe you should, because we're really not out of this pandemic. Hope you have a very safe holiday wherever you are. @helloimclaudio maybe we should clarify what fresh foods are. Are we talking about vegetables and fruits ? Then that supposes you buy local and seasonal produce . And hopefully, bio . There is, of course, a lot of stuff that doesn't need to be put in a fridge but in a dry, cool place. Like potatoes, carrots, turnips, nuts, etc. Fruits are a different thing. It depends on which ones and, more importantly, from where they come from. As you live in the US, I guess, if they come from another state, it simply means that they are already conditioned ( frozen) for the transport. But sold in the fresh aisle. I don't have to say that salads , if wrapped in plastic, aren't " fresh " ? Delicious, yes, but not exactly it. Tomatoes , it's the same thing. For fish and unless you live in a place next to the ocean, it's frozen, of course , and you can say it's fresh, I'll grant you that, but is it as fresh as the one you will buy from a fisherman who sells his morning catch ? No, of course not. As for the meat, it's the same thing. When I say locally, it means within a 35km radius where I live. And yes, I do go to the market here, even if it's a bit more expensive, because one : the veggies are fresh, as the fruits. But, I buy frozen simply because I can keep it longer instead of trotting of every day to buy what is already frozen ! In winter, if I want to cook an asian dish, I can find frozen veggies and a bit of fish, maybe a bit of meat. You are making a false analogy. Either you know the farmers/ agricultors, you know what you get. Either you don't, and then you believe. I'm not scolding you or anything it's just that there's this misconception about what is fresh or not. I tried to explain that, and I hope you don't take it badly.

@fernandorochamedeiros5684 I thank you for your very kind remark. Judging by your name, you might be Brazilian ( and voted for that bozo). However, since you have nothing to suggest , maybe you should heed your own advice ? I'm just saying. It's true that I don't know what the estimated number of wolves live in Canada, but I do know that in the US, they are around 3'600. Which is ridiculously small imo . In my country, 42k km2, we have around 150, and those came from Italy. Of course, you are an expert on wildlife, and you know better. I'm sure that the Canadian authorities would love to hear your suggestions.

Yay ! The trolls are delighted ! Hmm, how much worth is a rupee to a dollar, euro, yen, Swiss Franc ? Nothing, really . Invest in your infrastructure first: hospitals, schools, green energy, reduce the poverty ( fat chance, you don't care about them ) as for the pollution, there's so much work to do ! Another thing, the rich Indians have their fortunes stashed in which countries and in which demonisations ? Not rupees you can be sure of that !

@dlavanya1 Unfortunately, the Brics have nothing in common. India and China are at logger heads, China playing doubles or triple games with russia ( such a wonderful country, indians should go live there ! ) but who depends on whom for trade ? And to whom do they trade with ? Get your facts right, please. I find that the americans are incomprehensible and I don't think that they live on the same planet as us. But, if push comes to shove, I'd go there. And twist those religious twats ears ! Btw, have you heard about the climate change ? Most populous country ? What a feat indeed. Amount of poor, pollution, corruption, bad infrastructure, religious baiting, and fanning tensions ? You are right. India is number ONE ! Oh, sorry, it's all the fault of the British. As usual. Sigh .

@KillerMcDiller that's a good question. I'll give you an update. For some of them, they have money, not that much but more than enough, e.g. Iranians, afghans, yes those, turks, Syrians etc.
But, for the others it works like thus : a village, or small town will crowdfund some men to seek out a better place to earn money and, this is important, to send money back to them. Now to complicate things further, you have mafia like gangs that scout for would be immigrants and offer them promises of a better life. The fact that they will end up sweeping the streets or doing the washing up in restaurants, isn't mentioned. The fact that they have a good chance to drown, neither. But, there's no central organisation that is doing it. Naturally, if one considers where they come from and the religion, some will draw a line between the dots. Think about it, would you want to leave your country just to survive and go through all those perils ? I blame the governments, not the refugees. I also blame our hypocrisy. I worked in a refugees centre, and honestly I certainly would not have had the courage to do what they did. It doesn't mean that all are saints, definitely not, but please don't let you think that they are just scroungers. You have to accept that most of the wars there, we have a lot to blame for that. I refuse the religion part. I always told the families I spoke with, that their daughter has the same rights as her brother. It's something that we have to teach them ! It not easy. Just imagine for a few minutes that you are in their shoes ( some don't have any ) and then you may understand.
1
-
@berenicemackeprang2229 Thanks for your kind message. It's true that the world is connected. In a way. Those who manage and are placed in the refugees centres have to wait for quite a long time for their asylum requests are processed, see the UK, for example . Also, they are all bunched up with people from the Middle East , Asia, and sometimes South America, which brings up the language problem. Those who speak french want to go to France, fair enough, the others speak English, more or less. Those who speak it the best are the Syrians, Iranians, Afghans , and Pakistanis. In my experience. And, for the first two, they are highly educated and have diplomas in medicine, architecture, scientific research, etc. Of course, not all of them are. Now, why don't they tell their parents and friends that it's dangerous to come here ? Well, let me simplify : for the africans, it's a question of shame and in a lot of cases, they throw away their passports so they can't be sent back, which is nearly impossible as those countries don't want to have them back. You can see the problem. For the Asians, it's political. They fear for their families, which is very understable, but they know what to do about it. They use VPN, I laughed when I heard that, and they never give their name, or a man becomes a woman who is a good friend of his sister . So they can talk. There's also another thing: the traffickers. In quite a lot of cases, there's kidnapping, and they ask for money. Why is it mostly men ? I hear you ask . Because they come from patriarchal cultures. There are women as well, but not that much. I would recommend you to help in a refugee shelter. You will certainly learn a lot. And understand better what the problem is. Our policies are awful. Full of hypocrisy. Nobody wants to leave their country. They are forced to. It certainly made me put myself in their shoes, not exactly funny. Hope I answered your queries. If not, don't hesitate to ask me. Stay well 🙏

@linberg3171 Hello, may I ask you how many immigrants the Nordic countries have, and in percentage? I have read that there's been problems with some. But can you tar all of them with the same brush ? I did hear that Sweden gives sensitivity education to them. Mostly that women are our equal. For us, it goes without saying, for them, religion and culture wise, well it is a problem. Are Swedish people inherently racist ? I don't think so. But yes, it is a problem. Where I live, we also have a lot of refugees, though all in all, not that many problems. Of course, there's always some who are such. Here in Geneva, the population is 42% of foreign origin, and we don't have any problems . Even the drug trade is done very politely. Which always astounds me.

@FirstLast-zk5ow I agree on some points. But, you see , that's the rub. A lot of parents discharge their duties to the school. Teachers aren't nannies, and they do complain about that. Teachers don't have an easy job, you know. So, saying that blaming the parents is a cop out, I'm afraid, but I disagree with you. You don't have kids and expect that the state should look after them. The thing about France is that it has an incredible array of different sorts of financial aid. And I'm afraid to say that quite a lot of people abuse. And I mostly vote for the centre left. And those 13yo kids , at 1am , looting, for them it was a sort of tik tok game. This is a problem in quite a lot of countries.
1
-
@FirstLast-zk5ow I have never heard of teachers pushing psychotropic drugs on kids , and I don't think anyone else has either.
That's a criminal offence !
In which country do you live ? If it's in the US, then maybe they do that. As for violence, sorry, but a lot of films are violent, series, etc. As for the daily news, there's always a war somewhere, and you get , at times, distressing images. I'm not talking about very young kids, who should be in bed at that time. For those older, it's the responsibility of the parents to explain what is happening. That is, if they even understand themselves. Now, video games, well, I don't know how things are where you live, but here it isn't much of a worry. A are violent, I agree, but actually, a lot of the kids know that it's just a game. Even the games are really stupid imo. Once again, either parent can ask what's the point of those games and just find other educational ones. You seem to be confusing different issues , and I feel that you seem to want to absolve the parents' role. I'm a father, I never had to punish my kids. I think that it depends on where people live. You have to educate your children about violence, drugs, and yes sexuality. Kids aren't stupid , you know.

This is indeed all very nice and heartwarming. No ? I bet that many here are waving the flag and screaming Modi ! Except. Except for the herd of elephants in the room. Namely, the climate change, sorry but you are already sweltering now, the environmental degradation, polluted rivers, water tables so low , the infrastructure ( the germans were roasted for a cartoon depicting indian trains, which in all fairness was true) a runaway population growth. True, 1mio students graduate each year, for what jobs ? He doesn't even mention how many poor people are, if they are, lifted out of poverty. Neither does he mention the corruption. Oh, a strong majority ? If that means autocracy, excuse me, but I'm not exactly enthusiastic about it. That India will try to improve, and hopefully improve the lives of people, I personally hope so. Remember that India has problems with her neighbours. And not many friends.

Sorry, but this is quite a lot of bs ! Because, who refused international aid to Idlib ? Bachar. And now it's only trickling in. The West was asking for access . Once again, who created that war ? Not them, but bachar and putin who reduced Aleppo to rubble. Of course, those Muslim fanatics are in Idlib. Please say that there's factions of those are refusing the help. But Wion has to blame the West as usual. Most, basically all of it came from and is coming from the West. Media is controlled, and another thing most of the refugees in Turkey are Syrian and are dying as well . In my country, we sent help the 1st night. What did russia do ? Wion mentions them and blames the West. Does this " news " even mention that Israel has sent help as well ? Although both countries are technically at war ? No, of course not. I don't know what mouthpiece this channel thinks it is. But, honestly, I'm getting more and more disappointed by their biaised reporting.

India has foreign military bases on its soil ? That's new to me. But just to clarify : even before the USSR fell, West Germany was the first economy in the EEC . During the Cold War, oil and gas were exported to Europe. Yes, Germany did invest heavily in russia after that. After Fukushima, they decided to close the nuclear plants. Which, imo is good. But still keep relying on the russian gas and coal. It's counterintuitive, but on renewables, they are very much in advance. As China. The Nord Stream was bound to be a disaster. Btw, there's gas that flows from russia to Hungary and a few other countries through Ukraine ! India buys oil cheap, 30% discount, refines it, and sells it to Europe at market prices. China keeps it for itself because they need to.

@blackflag6976 I don't know which country you are from. Western imperialism. Yes and no. Yes, because they take advantage to buy and exploit resources. No, because said countries ( the poor South, sniff) want to live like the Western world and they have all those dictatorships, democracies my foot ! There's an urgency in front of us, the South says you created the problem, you pay. . Yes, but they want Mercedes Benzes, flat screen TV s , just the same as in the West. I can go on. And there's this thing: imported refuse from the West. Indonesia finally said stop ✋️. A word about microplastics , those are everywhere. So yes, instead of waving flags, we haven't another choice. But to tackle the problem at its source. But as you know pride and prejudice go hand in hand

@danvo1571 don't forget all the vegetables, fruits that come from Mexico. The Spanish and mostly the Portuguese spread them all over the world. The list is quite impressive. Indeed, Italian cuisine wouldn't be what it is if not for those ingredients, pineapple also comes from there. Indian cuisine changed after Vasco de Gama brought chillies to India. So I say, thank you Mexico !!! Another thing, the Aztecs would drink cacao with the chillies, and today there's chocolates with those, try Lindt if you can find. I'm not sure about the cherries though, I don't think that cherries existed in Mesoamerica ,the Spanish brought them I suppose. I like the legend about the foundation of Tenochtitlan, " when you will see an Eagle eating a snake on a cactus, there is your place " 😅. Whichever God that was, s/he definitely had a weird sense of humour ! Because it was marshes. Teotihucan was already abandoned when the Mexica arrived. My mexican friend, she's an archaeologist explained what I just repeated. Shame, we only have one mexican restaurant here and it's bloody expensive !
1
-
@sussy_bedstain9770 everyone has their preferences, and we can like all sorts of cuisines. My favourite are, in no particular order, Italian, Thaï, Mexican, Indian, Japanese, Korean, Moroccan, Spanish, Portuguese and the list goes on. As long as you like it, and enjoy it, no worries 👍

@thanxz911 What meats ? Cows, chicken, and pigs ? They had fowl, not only turkey, deer, pecari, reptiles, iguanas, and snakes , fish, but also some insects. I know that the last one will make you cringe, but those are eaten practically everywhere. Read more about it. You'll be surprised.
1
-
@billyboycinci Ignorant remark ? You were disparaging mexican cuisine. If I tell you I like german cuisine, that I have visited Germany, have friends there. What do you say ? But there you are, whining that you don't like this, you don't like that. I found that a bit strange. But it's nice that you answered back . You can eat what you want, no worries. Have you even tried different foods ? Not those americanised, I mean. I'll give you a point, though what they call manchego has absolutely nothing to do with the real cheese. It's just appalling ! But americans put , ehem , swiss or cheddar cheese 😱 . Which swiss cheese ? I'm not a professional, but it isn't what we have here. As for cheddar, buy the real thing ! Instead of whining .

@sriramsudhar who's the hypricte here ? Now , whilst I have a lot to say about the US, and not all favorably, let me ask you some questions :
Who invented the Red Cross ? Not china, india, us, uk, france. Who ?
What's your commercial balance with russia ? Even the sam- 400 are useless against American technologies. And india sucks up to the russians ?
The us is full of guns , true, and corruption, funny just like india ! Ohh, religious shit ! Always the same thing.
You speak English, using a an American site and you can't even say thanks to them ? Education must have passed you by.
The rubbish you spew, well perhaps you should try to make things better in your country, and stop breeding ! And maybe you haven't yet noticed but the whole planet is under more than a threat , since you don't care...

@dolly7426 great then ! So now you can remember all the people that invaded India ( which didn't exist as a country, that's the British Empire) who absorbed them and became part of the indian culture? And so that you can complain, I repeat that loads of indians are always blaming the UK. Always. And it's boring ! Especially from those who are born after the independence. It's good to know what happened and, most importantly, apportion the blaming. Yes, they weren't that wonderful and did harm people in some places. I agree. But what about the royalties that existed then and until a bit after independence ? Were they so benevolent towards their subjects ? I don't think so. The famine in Bengal, which was the most horrible thing that happened during the Raj, for that I agree that the British are to fault. But weren't there any of those kings, etc, in Bengal, who could stepped in and say it couldn't go on ? I never heard anything like that. And they weren't held at gunpoint. Rather, they were happy in their palaces, properly fed while the people died in droves. You may certainly have info on that. I'm not absolving the British, but do give credit where it's due. Like the fact, during the Empire, indians were shipped off the practically all corners of the world, and not as slaves ! You'll say indentured labour wasn't exactly fun. True, but they weren't in chains, badly paid, but paid. They had their religious rights respected , and some practices were banned, e.g., marrying an 8yro girl to a man triple or more her age. Does that still exist today ? I'd be grateful to know. So, it's important to learn history, but it's essential to see what's happening today ! It's great that India has been invited to Bastille Day . Watch the fireworks. They are always spectacular !

-
@sutapasbhattacharya9471 You give examples from American and British " scholars " ? Ironic, because nobody can really say, nor give a number about what they looted . Did you ask where the 45 trillion comes from ? Yes, indeed, they destroyed the textile industry and made Manchester very rich. Again, what were the kings ( I simplify, because we get lost with all the different titles) doing ? Just sat back, enjoying themselves ? As for famines, the British didn't create those. Even before they sailed there, there had been many and in different places. 100 million people died ? Where do you get that number ? You can't prove anything about that. At independence, the population was estimated at around 350 million, and even then , it was a guess and included Pakistan and Bangladesh. And now it's 1.4 billion . Funny, contraception already existed then . Just stop blaming all the time. You certainly aren't funny at parties !

Why should we ? I don't agree with the Chinese government, absolutely not. But the people are nice people. It's true that China, from a 3rd world country has become a major player. In what ? 40yrs I think ? With a lot of deaths in between. But no other country has managed to do the same. Which is impressive we have to admit. Sure you can add Japan, ravaged after the bombs, or South Korea which after the war was poorer than Zambia, you see the difference now. That China wants to defend itself is understood, but not at the expense of human rights. Which, curiously the usa touts but doesn't want to apply to themselves. Biden ? Sorry, he's useless. Another thing, all that money the US spent in Afghanistan, actually stayed in the US. The MIC got practically all. And they want to give lessons 🙄 ???

@batamakasome5003 Thank you for your reply . You raised an important point : the grudge that the francophone africans hold against France. I would say that it's because they wanted to keep their sphere of influence in their ex - colonies, or what they called " le pré carré français ". As opposed to the Commonwealth, which doesn't mean that the British were not guilty of hypocrisy and neo - colonialism. They didn't invest as much as the french did . They did side with the dictatorships when it suited their interests. Here are just two examples that may put a light on the absurdity of some of the political choices that were and are still made : chickens . Now, people in the villages all have those, and they will sell them when they can. What happened is very funny. Those local chickens ended up being more expensive than the imported ones from France ! And who allowed that to happen ? If not the governments there ? Who took a slice out of the deal. Into an offshore account somewhere. Chocolate : The Ivory Coast is the first exporter ,but children are used as labour and don't go to school. Is the government cracking down that practice ? Apart from cosmetic measures, nothing much. Who's to blame here ? The 4 major agro - industrial giants whose business is to comply with the countries regulations. But if people who are on the ground there, cheat ? Tell me what can be done then. In this case, a complaint has been lodged at the Supreme Court of Justice in the US. By two Americans. Funny that. Child labour is considered as slavery in the US. The case is pending. We'll see what next year . Mind you, those 4 have very deep pockets, I wouldn't shout victory yet. And it isn't only that country, it's all over the continent. And you really can not deny that fact. It's all very nice to talk about sacredness, but from what I see, life doesn't seem to be very sacred to some.

@user-hw8vx3dz3s I'm afraid that you are answering to the trolls who always come out in force to claim how great India is. And bash the British, the US is fair game, and china is even worse. However, what I can not understand is that russia is portrayed as wonderful ? Excuse me, a year ago here in Europe we didn't care about Ukraine simply because we weren't bothered about it. Since the invasion, we obviously are because the russians, not all, don't seem to care about what is happening. Sure, they are brainwashed, and putler is just trying to resurrect the Cold War, and as I've already mentioned: siding with them makes India lose respect and credit. So Japan didn't send their FM to a non - event , which, as usual, amounted to nothing, and the Hindu Times is shocked ? Sorry, but that's funny and just stirring shit. But don't worry, next time you see something that concerns India, the trolls will be there. It's amusing in a way, but I find it sad . It's a great country , and nice people, but boasting isn't the best way imo.

Erm, forced sinisation is a cultural genocide, destruction of mosques as well. Putting them in " re-education camps isn't exactly nice is it ? If they want to believe in whatever and don't create any problems, then why are they persecuted ? We have some who are refugees here, and they are like incognito, because one thing you don't know is that the CCP has spies in a lot of countries, US, UK, etc where they are searching for all the people who are opposed to them . That's why they are always hiding. Because otherwise, it's their families who have to pay. It's documented. So , no you can't whitewash the facts.

@Davi Dby you're partly correct. Though you forget to add that said exploited countries are also to blame. Think about the African continent : how many wars, famines, etc. there's so much wealth that, and you can't blame them, western companies go , take , pay a bit, but it's mostly the africans themselves who keep perpuating that state if affairs. Latest case right now is Mali. They asked the french for help and because they can't fight the enemy of their religion, now they are against the french. Who wisely is disengaging. Corruption exists everywhere, not so sure about the scandic countries, but its so blatant in Africa ! And if they just started to look at the talented people there, it would be very different. But it's still tribes vs tribes. Can't help there . Sorry

@j.j7380 Hi, I beg to differ. Americans don't travel the same way as they do. The Americans may visit a country or two (sometimes more) , but they stay longer , usually about 2 weeks. So they may spend a bit more on an individual basis during that length of time. The chinese otoh, travel in groups and visit more than 6 countries in a week or two ( usually 10 days), so a few days here ,a few days there and mostly the capitals . However, they spend approximately usd230 -270 per person per day vs. Americans around usd100 -150. And that amount doesn't take in the individual expenses by the chinese. Aside from the normal tourist souvenirs (curiously often made in China, lol , those Eiffel Tower geegaws, e.g ), therefore, they out spend the Americans, who are more generous than them when it comes to tips. You are right. They visit SE Asia much more. And there's two other countries that spend more than the Americans : the Japanese and South Koreans, and they are the same European tour visitors. Those two are the preferred tourists, btw . Thanks to covid, there has been a downturn with the chinese tourists. You can't compare , really.

@mikegonzales1028 Excuse me, have you got a problem with Jews ? Because I haven't any with them. Are you going to keep blaming jews for everything ? And I'm not a jew. Sure Albright was a bitch, but let me check a bit. Hmm, Stalin, Hitler, Mao , Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Mobutu, Saddam, Pinochet, Taylor, and that's just to name a few. Were they jews ? Is putler one ? Because he isn't different. So, your point was what exactly ?

@Jewel_Screaming_Chango8387 in the US, it's mostly racial here it's a different matter: race , religion, and poverty . As for targeting muslims in India, well, we can see that . I'm not religious, and I don't give a toss, I think that people have to be respected. Fine, but talking about racism, hasn't India looked at itself ?
Ukr/ru war . Tbh, that war is nobody's concern. Sure, Ukraine is invaded. But is that war more important than what is happening on the planet ? And some people here love russians, who tbh, absolutely don't care about India ! And, another thing is why people want to come to the West countries? Because, those that love russia aren't exactly flocking there. Secondly, China may have problems now, but India has more to deal with.

@kaye_07 they did talk about it, and yes, they explained what the farmers grievances. Actually, they were amazed by the farmers. As they reported, they were non-violent, and though there were a few squirmishes, mostly the police, the french journalists, compared that with the ones that they have in France when the farmers protest. Which occur like , every year, and they do create havoc : tractors blocking the circulation, dumping manure, and/or agricultural produce, for some reason mostly tomatoes . Anyway, that law got scrapped, didn't it ? And btw, 2 journalists were sent packing for no other reason than interviewing some guy. But the recent riots have nothing to do with that.

@kaye_07 to begin with, I don't read US papers, and yes, the Guardian did run such a headline, but I mostly get my news from the french channels, as I mentioned . Need I remind you that foreign journalists have to be careful when they go to India? You didn't know that ? That would never have happened in France towards an Indian journalist . Never. As a fact, there were Algerian journalists there as well, and some of them, we had their pov, were extremely critical about the french. Deported ? Absolutely not. Have you asked yourself as to why those newspapers had such headlines ? I suspect not. It's fine that you report on the subject, but if it's to complain about double standards, I don't see the point, because what does the average indian even know about France ? Apart from the clichés ? If even veteran journalists, who have been and covered news in India, if they say that they have to be wary. And it does concern the rest of the world because India is a very important country. Btw, the BBC offices were raided, supposedly for tax avoidance. Now, they had just aired a documentary about what happened in Gujerat when Moody modi was governor. Documentary that was banned in India, of course. Had they not, do you think that their offices would have been raided ? Ask that question

@user-yx1ee8su1e excuse me. Have you even read it ? I don't think so. It's nice to show your ignorance. It's your right to be wrong. Are you in the US ? Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South Pole, on a Pacific island ? Blind are those who refuse to see. 48c in Sardegna, heat domes , etc. But you are fine, everything is fine. For you ! Some people would like to disagree. An amusing article, a lot of americans are oblivious to the fact that that's your case because they aren't yet affected. Once again, anyone who can think will dismiss you. You don't follow the news, apparently. .

@Thejericko17 In my pov, it's education that's the biggest problem. Great and unaffordable universities, but average Joe knows nothing about the world. Mind you, in Europe, you'll come across the same thing. Less, but still. Then there's the fact that the US is always poking its nose in other countries affairs. But here's something funny : in Europe, it's just an economic union and nothing else, they want to be self-reliant. 😅😅😅, and to whom do they rush to for help ? Ukraine being a case in point ? That the US did meddling there is a fact. That's a country nobody bothered about before the invasion. All of a sudden, it's an American one, and they have to help ! 🙄
If only you, muricans, could just deal with your own business and there's plenty of work to do. Btw, drop that poodle and stop being Israel's chihuahua.

Well, I think he was very clear and objective. Even if he didn't really expound about Islam. Thingi is , nobody chose where they where born. Nor which religion you were born into. Saying my god is better than yours, that doesn't help, does it ? We all want to live peaceful lives. We aren't all rich, but think again, a smile from your neighbour, a nod, that makes you rich because you do the same. I'm not a psy, nor a religious person, but I do care about the people around me. And also animals. It irks me the way we destroy. If I were a millionaire, my money would go to save them.

@johnmcintosh5413 do you bother about the Yemenis, the Somalis , there's a fierce drought there, Amazonian tribes that are getting shot at and the forest being destroyed, those that cross the Sahara ( try it you'll lose weight and probably your life ) did you see what happened in Aleppo , destroyed . Yes this is Putins war, and he won't go down well in history, like Stalin ( a Georgian) Hitler, Pol Pot , Pinochet , Mao etc. So it's not really news. This is a war between Ukraine and Russia, basically it's their concern not ours. You didn't cry for the aforementioned examples, why should I fir Ukrainians? It's horrible, it's unjust, but which war was just excluded WWII ?

@s3ra9h1m it's a pity it wasn't laced with arsenic. Oh, another thing, putler is so paranoid ( covid effect. Hence, that long table) is that he hides in different places, and most people don't even know where he is ! But he has the same room in all those places. And has a private train and a specially railway designed for him ! He rarely goes to the Kremlin. They, the russians, always show the same images . Honestly, the russians have shot themselves in the foot. Nobody is going to trust them anymore. OK, some African countries , India is " neutral " but sucks up to the russians. China is quite happy about the whole thing because they think it will occupy the US and deplete their weapon stocks. Fat chance that ! And anyway, they are content that russia is now their vassal.

The thing to remember is that it's just 5 people who want to visit a sunken grave, which is morbid by any way of thinking, and clearly not related to those who are there. Another thing is that there were 3 ships that were built by that naval yard/factory whatever. The Majestic, Olympic ( not sure but ends with "ic" ) and the Titanic. Well, all 3 sank. And besides, I'm disgusted, those refugees, we don't know how many, over 500 ? That's a guesstimate, and that's more shocking to me than stupid b/millionaires wanting to see a wreck ! Help your own people who are suffering already ! Sorry, but I don't care about them guys.

@Isweartolucifer the depth is ~4km down. Very few submersible robots exist. I think that only the US, Australia ( curiously ), have those . Besides, from what I heard, that thing had previously been said unworthy. And to answer another post, yes , they were refugees, fleeing their countries. What isn't said in the video, and that ship was from Egypt and went to Libya, where the scammers are, and shovelled on a rusty ship . The funny thing, ok, the sad thing is why did they want to come here, to the european countries ? We also need to look at our own hypocrisy.

@sgodsellify actually, that amount was mentioned by the Western countries in order to help tackle climate change. And surely, you have noticed the hypocrisy on that score. Is there really a recession ? Inflation, yes. Because of the pandemic. Another thing, the IMF only gives predictions, which change all the time. They didn't warn about 2008 , did they ? I understand your pov, and it can be a bit annoying for sure. However, corruption is the biggest challenge there, and it's a two-way thing : european, americans, chinese, going in " buying " what they want and where does that money go ? The elite takes it. Things that are essential are schools, hospitals, roads , respect of human rights.. .But it isn't only in Africa that that happens. South America as well. Look on all sides.

@binjbinj8018 I'm not favouring the US, I disagree with a lot of what they did and keep doing. You are very presumptuous, btw. That you love russia, your choice. But answer a few questions since you seem to know a lot. To which countries do the elites ( government members) send their children to study ? That country ? Ask the Poles what they think about it. Why are some American companies going to Vietnam ? Because the government in Hanoi is doing a good job 👏, in luring them there. Tell me what exactly did the russians bring to South East Asia ? You don't seem to know much about the Cold War , do you ? The US created a whole lot of problems, and not always nicely, is a fact. The soviets weren't any better, look at african countries. Decolonisation was already in the cards after WWII, in some places, hastily so. Marx was a German, btw. Who took refuge in... London. Not Moscow. I'm not angry. Another question : How many people died under Stalin ? Since you love that sort of communism ? Again, it's nice that you shared your ignorance. Thanks !

Look, we had this issue before when Bush invaded Iraq and everyone wanted to boycott the US. Except that, you can't find anything stamped Made in the US ! All you have is the brands, from fast crap food to shoes ( made in China, Vietnam, elsewhere) phones , etc. Cars ? The #1 brand, Ford, is made in Germany fgs !
Like many people, I'm with Canada. Stay the course, that orange will fold anyway.

@ryarbrough1000 it has been proven , it was filmed. I don't know which channel you watch. If it's RT , then you can forget about it, because it's the only news that the russians get. And that is just propaganda . For example, Bakhmut, the city, they never talk about it at all. The reason why is because it's Wagner that's fighting and not the russian army. I watch LCI, it's a french channel and they have reporters in both countries and they say that the russians are now under surveillance by the FSB, they can't say anything against the invasion or -> prison. It's a wonderful country, isn't it? Yes, I support Ukraine. Honestly, they get invaded for no reason except that putler wants to bring the ussr back. Fat chance ! Restore the grandeur of Russia. Covid effect there. Nuclear? Think again, if ever they send a tactical one , Russia is simply destroyed ! And they know that. Don't forget that the UK and France are nuclear powers as well. This whole thing is ridiculous and useless. For what? Some crazy people who are still in the Cold War ? India is dilly dallying but wants an FTA with the EU. Oh, well. Let's wait for the droughts that arrive now. Dunno about you, I'd rather drink water than petrol.

@BritishFrenchman there's no colonies in Africa unless you count those that depend on the french money. You forget to mention that France has said several times that the Francafrique is finished, only to have them sticking to France. You say that you are British, so am I, but there's a huge difference between the two empires. After creating those colonies, and especially after giving India her independence, the empire ended, and the UK gave independence to other countries, in some cases hastingly so. But the British created the Commonwealth, where those countries joined, and even today, you have some that were never part of the empire who want to join. Getting to meet the Queen was a must for many of those countries. As for France, well, we saw what happened in Mali and in the vicinity, I do feel sorry for France, even if they annoy me. As neighbours !

@steverolf5279 well, that's a good question. I can only venture for a few reasons : identity insecurity, i.e., cultural and religious ( hence, my god is better than yours, and we are fantastic) clinging to a past glorious history, which often was about invading, killing, stealing, subduing, all things to be proud about I suppose. Now, it's the flag waving crap, tbh I think that the pandemic has left much more traces than we can imagine. It's hard to find good news.

@PjotrII Pakistan is a failed state, but what could you expect if you create a country based upon religious beliefs ? Sure, the Partition was based on those lines , but Gandhi refused it. And he was killed by a Hindu fanatic. As I said, I'm not religious, but you can see that modi is stirring up religious tensions, and tbh, these types of videos are the type that inflames people who have no idea what the rest of the world is. It's very much a shame, as there's loads of talented people over there. The clout that modi believes he has is bestowed by the fact that the US needs a counterpoint against China. Americans, as usual, need enemies , though in this case, China is a dictatorship and a horrible one at that. Unfortunately, we decided, and now, depend on them. They developed at an amazing level. We can not deny that. But individuals are held in a prison, technically wise. You wonder what the point is? Here, you read comments that, frankly, you wonder where they get their information from. Tbh ? All we can do is mitigate the climate change i. I just hope that my kids won't have any kids. And I did try to alert, but even here, it's just too late . I'm a pessimistic man? Well, you know that a pessimist is an opttimist with a sense of reality.

@steverolf5279 appears it hasn't. Oh, and the avian flu is transmitable to humans. The 20 dead so far, according to the WHO. Whether between people is too early to say. In any case, if it is, more jabs in perspective. Lol 😆 ! Btw, did you know that the said Spanish flu came from China ? What happened is that a French ship coming from China, docked in Marseilles and the sailors were sick and died. It propagated elsewhere and lasted about 18yrs
The name is simply because the Spanish kept statistics about it
So now we had bats ( leave them alone ! ) and for a time being, pangolins. I mean, seriously? Pangolins are on the CITES red list. The chinese buy them for the scales, has no medical use because they are made of keratin ! Like rhinoceros horns. And they have to be killed because you can't get a hard -on ? Fuck, cut your nails and hair, reduce it into powder ! I'm very sorry, but when it comes to animals, I see RED !

-
@PjotrII that you are religious is one thing in so far that it's private and you don't impose it upon others. Here's an example , we have North africans here, you meet, and you start talking. I swear, but 5 minutes later, the question pops up? What's your religion? It has a tendency to damper the discussion. As for the EU, I don't agree with you there. To begin with, we voted against joining the EEC. It was a slim majority. However, today, ha ! The majority will say a resounding NO ! It's become a totally useless circus. And corrupt as well. It makes absolutely no sense to get bigger and bigger. All those Eastern countries have nothing in common with the Western ones. Turkey can give up any hope to join. Though they will be close economic partners. I'm not sure that you realise that. The UK left. It's in the shit right now, for sure. But, they will get through. So, see, we don't want to get embroiled in a war we have nothing to do with. Indians commenting here, all in the praise of those savages, don't see what is happening.

@PjotrII or maybe you do, well I'm in the french part, but yes, I also think that it's No to Turkey, and tbh , Brussels is also corrupt. What annoys me most is that we have to lower our standards in agriculture and in environmental levels. I don't think that ours are strong enough. But lobbies want it differently and finally we decide what to buy, not that it's cheap. You want to eat local food and in season? Let's say that at least pasta is very versatile and cheap. But . And a very big but. If you buy tomatoes, even if written from Spain, actually it's from China and they sell it to the Spanish who just label them as from there ! That's just an example, so the EU knows about it and does nothing. Another example? Jam. Here, it has to be at least 70% fruits ( whichever ones) but the EU puts it at 35% . I do not agree with that. Back to India, there's a sort of FTA but only concerns informatics and machinery
No agriculture. Yes, India is a pharmaceutical giant as well, though with the corruption over there, Nigeria got flooded with false medicines ! 😵💫 but yeah, russia is great and jai hind and all that. Just wait for the coming droughts, in West Bengal, the temperature is already soaring above 40c ! So, watch what that moody modi will say and does.

@PjotrII Finland is always topping the PISA list, btw, and that, for me, is extremely important because education is a must. I do understand the energy part, though I heard something like you are doing something to find alternative ways to deal with it. OK, you just opened your plant. Just when Germany has closed its last 3 reactors 😆 ! As for the EU, the reason why I say it shouldn't have expanded so quickly is because , as you said, there are too many different interests at play. When you said that you voted to join, at first I thought you lived here in Switzerland, but my point was that other countries ( people) weren't asked as was asked here in 1977 concerning the creation of a new canton , in this case Jura, french speaking and didn't want to be part of Bern ) all the other cantons said yes and voted for that. The EU is just basically a common market. You can sort of make a parallel with the Eurovision we all know who will vote for who. Even if last year it really should have been the UK. OK, I'm British as well, but though I would have been pleased with the song, I was a bit annoyed that we came up with a great one ! As we do strive to end up last 🤣🤣 ! I'm very happy that Australia has joined. Back to energy, hydrogen seems very promising. Of course, as usual , there's screaming about the cost. Hmm, how much does an oleoduc and gazoduc cost? Deep mine drilling and destroying nature cost ? The far right parties sprouting up all over the world don't have any propositions to answer that. It's all about flags and religion, and in the end, its mine is bigger than yours. Oh, one thing I have to mention about Finland is the question about wolves. Sorry, but a huge country like yours, and you only have at a guesstimate 200 ?? And like in Sweden, you want to cut the number ? That's a total disgrace ! Why, we have ~170 here ! Apart from the farmers, my sheep! Bloody hell, there's dogs that are cheaper and do the job at preventing attacks. And actually, no wolves don't attack humans ! Much too clever for that. I'm sorry but I had to say that. I disgressed, yes. I'm sorry
